The first time I saw Casey was of course at Sandrini’s bar in Bakersfield. Thirteen years ago my girlfriend and I had gone into the bar ready to mingle for her birthday. While doing what single girls do at the bar, I leaned over to the bar tender (Casey) asking if he could send over a friend for a birthday kiss for my friend. Being the gentleman he is, he came out from behind the bar, introduced himself and laid a wet one right on my friend! I thought how sweet of him to go out of his way to make sure she had a good night. That moment my huge crush began.
Fast forward about 10 years later.... you know that area on social media that says, “people you may know”? Well I saw Casey Muir and thought, oh that is the bar tender from Sandrinis! I am going to be a strong woman and add him, he probably does not know me anyway... you guys, HE ADDED ME BACK!!! AND WROTE ME A MESSAGE!!! I was sitting on my sister’s patio when I received the message, ran in screaming with excitement, and showed my sister, that Casey Muir actually wrote me back. Now I know this all sounds like I am a little crazy, but when your crush of ten years notices you, a little freak out is okay.
After a couple weeks of texting of course, we decided to go on a date. Now you have heard of people saying, “that was a great date” or “that was the best date ever”, well I am here to tell you... no date ever in the history of dating will ever top our first date. I won’t go in detail about the conversations, bets, first kiss or dancing until 5am but you guys, it was seriously one of the best nights of my life. I knew that night, if we continue to hang out I AM going to marry this man.
Every day since March 30th 2017 has been more than I could have asked for or even dreamt of. Casey has shown me what is means to have a partner and to be loved truly for who I am. If I could replicate him for others to have the feelings he gives me everyday, I would in a heart beat. Thank you for choosing Cadence and I.
