Design your week in paradise!
There are numerous options for day trips and activities at the hotel and around the area. From chilling at the beach and river boating, to adventurous hikes and horseback riding.
Go with the Colombian flow and be open to the spontaneous planning according the the weather, availability, etc. There is no need to book the tours months in advance! Just make sure you plan your travel arrangements to have enough time to do the activities you're interested in:
SOME IDEAS!
- Floating Safari at Rio San Diego: Bring your coolest inflatable rubber animal to float down the river and form a Safari parade. Upon arriving at a a beach with white sand, we can chill and take a snack or even have a BBQ
- Cascadas de Valencia (Valencia Waterfalls): A soft hike and walk to a beautiful spot where you can swim under the fresh water of the waterfalls, coming from the peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
- Pozos Sagrados (Sacred Wells): This natural reserve is located at a protected indigenous area. Enjoy the easy walk and see the beautiful wells with colourful fish. Get the chance to meet local indigenous communities and interact with them. This activity is not open to mass tourism. Playa Koralia has a special permission to access the place.
- Manantial Aluna: a 30 minute walk along the river to the spectacular "poza de Cacique Mendihuaca". Traditionally, a very spiritual place for the indigenous tribes. It is possible to take a swim in the crystalline water.
- Parque Tayrona (unfortunately closed in February*): One of the most beautiful natural parks in Colombia. Why not doing 1 or 2 day trips to meet the Kogui community, explore the little indigenous town, do some hiking or horseback riding. Playa Koralia offers 2 day tours: Parque Tayrona Playas and Parque Tayrona Pueblito. Both are full-day trips, leaving early in the morning (7-8 am) and coming in the late afternoon (4-5 pm).
* Important information: Every year the indigenous communities request closing the park for a month (historically between November and February), due to environmental and spiritual reasons. This is communicated shortly in advance and decided by the indian community living in the park. In 2019, the part will be closed in February. Therefore, we won't be able to plan day trips to the park.
- Morning Yoga: Every morning, Playa Koralia offers the service of a yoga session at the beach. Reserve your spot directly at reception. You can decide spontaneously the day before ;)
- SPA Therapy: Playa Koralia counts with a SPA onsite. It offers a full range of treatments to choose from, including message, coco therapy and mud-therapy among other options. Check out the menu and reserve your spot!
