Mallorca has a very special place in our hearts. We simply cannot wait to share this precious part of the world with each of you. In an effort to guide your experience in Mallorca, we have provided a few exploration recommendations for your convenience.

Valldemossa

To experience Valldemossa wander around the boutique shops and cafes on its old cobbled streets, the Sunday Market, to the scenic mountain and coastal trails. 


SIGHTSEEING

La Cartuja de Valldemossa - this is one of the main monuments in town. It is a palace and formerly the residence of King Sancho I of Mallorca. During the winter of 1838-1839, the romantic couple formed by the composer Chopin and the writer George Sand, stayed in this palace. Here Chopin composed his Preludes Op.28 and Sand wrote "A Winter in Mallorca".

The Valldemossa Port - a small fishing harbour that is located about 6 kilometers from town after a narrow and winding road. There, we will find Sa Marina beach, a beautiful pebble beach with low occupancy and rocks of all sizes.


RESTAURANTS

Es Taller - A cool restaurant tucked away in a former mechanics garage (the word "Taller" means garage in Spanish). Chef Nicolás Gago Aubert is as highly regarded by locals as his international menu, with a diverse selection of fresh international flavours such as Octopus Carpaccio, Iberico Pork, and Pad Thai. The space itself is relaxed, light and airy and the food is prepared in full view from the open kitchen. Booking is highly advised at this popular local haunt.

Quita Penas - Located in the heart of Valldemossa is this 100 year old Mallorcan botega. It’s a rustic, unpretentious, genuine place where you can enjoy lunch, warm and friendly service, simple and delicious authentic Mallorcan cuisine and local beers served in the old bodega. They are famous for pa amb oli. Try it with sobrasada, local cheeses or figs.

Cappuccino - Cappuccino has a number of stylish brasseries in Mallorca, some of which are housed in the most beautiful historic buildings. This branch is located on a central square of Valldemossa and has a large terrace.
Open all day, it's a great stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or if you're just looking for a simple coffee or a cocktail after shopping.

Es Port de Valldemossa - A 15-minute drive from the town down a winding, hairpin road, leads you to the quaint little port of Valldemossa. The drive can be a challenge but certainly worth it! The port with its pebbly beach is the perfect place to enjoy a paella and look out at the Mediterranean sea, Book Ahead.

Port of Soller

Life in Port Sóller centres around the bay. Pretty and protected, flanked by green mountains and hillside villas.


SIGHTSEEING

Soller to Port Tram - The tram of Port de Soller is a tourist attraction in itself. It travels from Port de Soller to the village of Soller through the valley. Its passengers can adore the olive, lemon and orange groves on the way.

Soller to Palma Train - A fun thing to do in Mallorcais to ride the historic Soller to Palma train. It’s a 27km journey through the Serra de Tramuntana mountains on a wooden train that dates back to 1912. The train passes through 13 tunnels and rattles over bridges and viaducts with views of forests and orange groves on the journey to/from Soller.


RESTAURANTS

Randemar - The stylish setting, beautiful sea views, relaxed music, chef Aleix Viada’s tasty seasonal Mediterranean cuisine, and good service, combine in this lovely place that has won so many hearts and created fond memories over more than two decades.

Neni - There’s a refreshingly different dining experience at Neni, up on the roof terrace at Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel. An Israeli, Lebanese and Mediterranean-inspired menu is well complemented by stylish, bohemian surroundings and amazing views of the port.

Sa Barca - This restaurant offers high quality and mid-range prices. It’s designed for people who appreciate fresh-tasting dishes, cooked to their order from quality ingredients, and friendly but professional service. The Asian roots of Korean-born chef Thom Bell are reflected in Sa Barca’s delicious, well-presented Mediterranean ‘crossover’ cuisine.

Deia

The small coastal village of Deià, on the northwest coast of Mallorca, is one of the prettiest villages on the island. Perched in a ravine at the foot of the Teix mountain, with views out to the Mediterranean below, Deià has long been a magnet for famous artists, writers and other creative people – most notably the writer, Robert Graves. Deià is part of a landscape awarded World Heritage Site status for the way in which nature, culture and traditions triumphantly merge.


SIGHTSEEING

Son Marroig - Just a stone’s throw from the village is Son Marroig where you can take in the most amazing sunsets on the west coast of Mallorca.

Hike to Sa Foradada - A hike from Deiá to Sa Foradada involves winding stone tracks, rock formations and scenic groves. It can be quite steep in places, making it a fair jaunt, but the views are a wonderful reward. Continue a little further to find the restaurant near the cliff edge, Sa Foradada, for a golden paella prepared over a wood fire. Book ahead!


RESTAURANTS 

Sa Fonda Bar - On the main street of Deià, the terrace of this particular bar has a reputation that always means its buzzing. Everyone is welcome here, from locals of all ages, to expats and holidaymakers which guarantees a welcoming and friendly atmosphere often with live music.

Xellini - Set in a 130 year old stone building, this restaurant is packed full of charm and character. The tasteful decor together with the stone walls and wooden beams and the addition of beautiful garden provide the perfect setting for an innovative menu of Mallorquin cuisine.

Sebastian’s - A family run restaurant in the beautiful village of Deià offering Mediterranean food with a hint of Asian influence. Booking is highly recommended.

Nama - This restaurant is located on Deia's main street. Enjoy a delicious meal on the terrace with stunning mountain views. Their menu includes fresh, local produce and organic ingredients from Mallorca.

Explore the Island

Palma - Mallorca's Capital city. Be sure to include La Seu Cathedral and the area of La Lonja in your stops.

Es Trenc Beach – There are 262 beaches on Mallorca with a total length of 50 km! The beach of Es Trenc, a nature reserve, offers miles and miles of white sand and turquoise water.

Sa Calobra - An unique part pebble/part sand beach situated at the end of a gorge made by the Torrent de Pareis. The beach gets its name (Sa Calobra translates to The Cobra) from the very winding road leading to it.

Port of Andratx - A beautiful fisherman's port with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries.

Es Colomer Viewpoint, Formentor/Puerto Pollensa - Way up in the Sierra Tramuntana mountain range near Puerto Pollensa, the Mirador d'es Colomer is perched over 300 metres above sea level on precipitous cliffs and has views to die for, so don't go too near the edge!
