Harbour Island
Getting to Harbour Island
There is no direct route to Harbour Island. From the United States you can fly into Nassau, Fort Lauderdale or Miami, or Atlanta and take a connecting flight to North Eleuthera (ELH) airport. From there, take a taxi to the dock and a water taxi to Harbour Island.
Carriers offering direct service to ELH include American Airlines from Miami, Delta Airlines from Atlanta, and Silver Airways from Fort Lauderdale.
If you have a fear of small planes, the flight from Atlanta is a large airplane- otherwise you can take a ferry from Nassau to Harbour Island, A ferry leaves Nassau daily for Harbour Island at 8:00 am and arrives at 10:30 am. The same ferry returns to Nassau late in the afternoon. The ferry from Nassau leaves from a port that is a 45-minute taxi ride from the Nassau airport.
Whether you're arriving by private charter or commercial airline, once you touch down at North Eleuthera airport, simply collect your luggage and take a short taxi ride to the dock. (Fine Threads and other taxi drivers greet each flight and will take you from the airport to water taxi to Three Island Dock in under five minutes.) Enjoy a five-minute water taxi ride to Harbour Island, where you’ll be welcomed by friendly taxi drivers who can take you to your hotel or rental. (Some hotels and/or rentals can have a taxi pre-arranged for your arrival)
You will need cash for the Taxi's & Water Taxi's!!!
