The Tale of Two Hearts
December 12th, 1992 is where the story begins,
When a beautiful girl was born - our little Divs.She grew up drawing, dancing Kathak, and playing volleyball,
Enjoying, laughing and smiling through it all.Above everything else, she valued being an excellent student,
And fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a UCLA Bruin.To LA she went, ready to have more fun than she should,
Little did she know, her life was about to be changed for good.Meanwhile, 400 miles north in the Bay Area locality,
A little boy was born to the Ganesh Family.An athlete by nature, Aditya was a fierce competitor,
Willing to fight anyone who was against his Lakers, Raiders, or Roger Federer.When he wasn't going from school to soccer to basketball - all in one evening,
He was busy drumming away, playing the mridangam, and singing.A true family man who, for college, didn't want to go too far away,
His love for the Lakers eventually led him to UCLA.In Spring of their freshman year is when they finally met one another,
And on that very same day is when Divya asked Aditya for his number!From long walks to campus and lunch dates at Bruin Cafe,
Their relationship got stronger, day by day.They became best friends very quickly and just a few years later,
Their friendship evolved into something greater.But then came graduation, which meant a relationship of long distance,
To what these two seamlessly overcame with little resistance.From round trip flights and quick weekend visits,
Seeing each other just once a month became routine business.Then, finally in March of 2020, Aditya proposed - it was inevitable!
For Divya and Aditya were truly inseparable.Now they will spend their lives together and will never be apart,
Thus beginning the tale of not one, but two hearts.
On March 8th, 2020, Aditya took Divya to the Huntington Library Botanical Gardens and proposed! Divya was fully surprised and said yes immediately! Aditya then took her to UCLA where they met, and there, family and friends were all waiting to surprise the newly engaged couple!
