It all started in November 2020 when Crystal was a rookie at the police department. She had gotten dispatched to an emergency call & anyone who knows her, knows she’s terrible with directions so of course she got lost on her way there. Brandon took advantage of this opportunity to be her hero for the first of many times to come. He covered for her because of course on that night & at that call, all of her bosses decided to show up while Crystal was still lost blocks away from the call. Crystal finally made it to the call once it was already finished & that day their work friendship began. it remained that way for a few weeks until one day Brandon asked Crystal if it was alright to come over with wine to celebrate her new house. Crystal was nervous, but said “I like Cabernet” That night, they laughed, joked, & talked all night. Brandon confessed to her that he knew she would be the woman he would marry & how he wanted to take her around the world one day. So, the next month he started by taking her around the world at Epcot. That was the first of many trips they would go on that first year. In those next two years together, they explored many restaurants, drank many old fashioned & grew together.
On March 16,2023 Brandon proposed to Crystal in Chicago. He planned a date night like he would normally do because believe it or not Brandon is super romantic. In the Willis Tower, Brandon got down on one knee & asked Crystal to marry him. Crystal was beyond excited she could spend her life with her best friend.
It’s safe to say their love story started with a bottle of Sutter Homes wine.
