Yes. Please see the Travel & Covid Information tab on this website. A negative test will be required before the wedding event and is needed for re-entering the US.
Yes, because this is a destination wedding we ask that guests RSVP by January 15th, 2022 to let us know if they are coming so we can plan accordingly.
Please RSVP to each event separately and let us know which you are coming to.
You can RSVP on this website on the RSVP tab.
The wedding ceremony and reception will be for adults only with the exception of close family. The Four Seasons does offer a babysitting service for guests if you schedule in advance.
The cocktail hour and the brunch are both child-friendly events, please let us know in advance if you are bringing your little ones.
Mexico City in March is beautiful and very temperate. You can expect weather in the 70's-80's. During the evening it may cool down a bit. Pack for spring weather and bring a light jacket as well as great walking shoes for exploring. For more up-to-date weather, the week of the wedding see the link here.
For wedding event dress codes please see the events tab.
Uber is strongly encouraged as it is safe, reliable, and does not require language skills to get around. We recommend using uber to and from wedding events as well as to and from the airport. Please note that traffic in the city can get bad so allow time for traffic or check traffic before you head to a location to see how long your rides will take.
If you are taking a tour outside of the city on your trip check to see if there are additional transportation options.
Walking: We are big walkers and always stay in neighborhoods we can explore by foot. We recommend wearing good walking shoes to explore, mapping your routes before you leave the house and being safe/ smart - really early mornings and late nights it is best to take a car.
The wedding ceremony and reception will be taking place indoors in a large open space. If you tend to get cold please bring a shawl or light jacket as needed for nighttime.
After the ceremony guests can head straight upstairs to the reception hall where we will be serving appetizers and cocktails. Directly following this, dinner will be served.
All guests are welcome to bring a guest however our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate you according to your invitation. Please RSVP with you + your guests information by January 15th.
There will be a vegan/ veggie option available. If you have major allergies or specific issues please write and let us know in advance when you RSVP.
Welcome Cocktail Hour: The cocktail hour and wedding reception will both have open bars including beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
Welcome Cocktail Hour: The open bar for the wedding closes at 2 am.
BRUNCH: The brunch will include a mimosa toast for adults should they choose to partake. There will of course be many non-alcoholic drink options as well.
Etiquette
Cash – Always carry cash with you, but don’t carry too much.
Tipping - Restaurants: For good service, a 10% tip is standard. For really good service, anything between 15% and 20% is acceptable. Taxis: If the driver helps with bags, 10–20 pesos is a good tip.
Credit Cards – Most places take some form of card but do not carry all of your cards and cash on you at the same time.
Backpacks/Bags – Keep them close to you at all times and carry backpacks on your chest.
Food – Don’t go too hard on it. We recommend not having drinks or ice from places that are not well established. But if you are planning to, buy Pepto and carry it with you. If you end up getting sick, go see a doctor right away, you can contact your hotel concierge for support as needed. You can find good appointments at local pharmacies for $300 pesos an appointment ($15 USD!)
Toilet Access– If you plan on being out on the street a lot and in public places or off the beaten path carry wipes and hand sanitizer as needed.
We recommend booking your flights and accommodations as early as possible/ as soon as you know you are coming. Rates for flights and hotels will go up as we get closer to the event. If you are staying at the four seasons you can cancel up to 7 days in advance if you decide to stay at another location.
We will be getting to Mexico a day or so prior to the wedding to settle in and finalize wedding needs as well as relax. We have designated events planned that everyone is invited to and we are excited to see everyone at those events. Outside of that we will not be planning or attending additional group events in order to decompress but we do encourage family and friends to take group tours and explore the city!
Mexico uses Pesos. The exchange rate fluctuates so for the latest rate check here. We also recommend downloading an app that will let you know the latest so you can check exchange rates on the go.
