Airport Info

The Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is located just 8 miles north from San Jose del Cabo and 23 miles from Cabo San Lucas. Los Cabos has 550 weekly operations, serving around 40 destinations.

International: USA: Los Angeles, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, Charlotte, Austin, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Orange County- Santa Ana, Seattle, New York JFK, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Detroit, Denver, Houston, Newark, McCarran and Cincinnati.

The Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), located just 20 minutes north of San Jose del Cabo, welcomes domestic, international and private or charter flights.

You need a valid passport to be allowed into Mexico.

Going through customs is simple:

When traveling abroad, all passengers must pass through customs and immigration. Once you have passed through immigration, collect your luggage and proceed to customs.

Here, passengers push a button on a traffic light of sorts; if the light turns red, your luggage has been chosen for inspection. After passing through the customs and immigration area, you may be greeted by time-share sales people eager to get your attention. Just ignore them.

Ground Transportation

The Airport is about 10-15 minutes from Chileno Bay.

Cab drivers and pre-arranged transportation providers will be waiting outside the building. Unless you’ve arranged pickup by your hotel, yellow and white mini shuttles are your best option, as they’re less expensive than taxis. They won’t depart unless they’re full, so you may have to wait a few minutes.

We do suggest prearranging your transportation to Chileno Bay and back to the airport.

You can arrange it directly through the hotel or you can contact Transcabo which is a trusted and reliable transportation company.  Click here for their website.
