It was Halloween night in 2015, and my costume was a porcelain doll, with full make up on. I was with my hometown friends in New York city and we were getting ready to meet at a bar. Melissa, my best friend, got to the bar before us and she came with her future husband and some of his friends. John , being one of them, was dressed in a bavarian oktoberfest costume. We were waiting on drinks and John was next to me, mentioned I looked familiar and that he recognized me from C.W Post College. That sparked us talking all night. And we’ve been talking everyday since then. Thank you Melissa and Ivan : )

My original plan was to do it mid year of 2020 but once i had the ring my plan changed. I went to Stephanie's late fathers good friend who is a jeweler, Gary. We discussed a design and he amplified it. I knew this meant a lot to her, and two weeks later it was ready to be picked up. The night of Christmas Eve i went to her house and told her to help me with a gift for her parents upstairs. I wanted us to be alone for that moment. As she was opening it, her back was towards me so when she turned around I was already on my knee and asked her to marry me. We celebrated with her family that night and Christmas morning, and then with my family Christmas Day and started sharing the news with our extended family and friends.
