Jorgen mentored Donveyea throughout high school and their relationship grew into an amazing friendship. One of Donveyea's favorite memories with Jorgen is when they did a nighttime obstacle course race at YoungLife Camp.
Torel is EJ’s cousin, but really is his unofficial blood brother. Since 1991, Torel has been there. They were also roommates for a year while attending graduate school. Torel is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University.
Martin met EJ for the first time taking private trumpet lessons in 2002 (6th grade) from EJ's father "Mr. Fleming". They also went to high school and attended North Carolina A&T State University together for graduate school. They have been roommates, marching band together, and have taken a lot of classes together throughout high school and college. His twin brother is Malcom. Martin is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University.
Jimmy D met EJ when EJ continued to knock on Jimmy’s door to play Call of Duty as his next door dorm mate in their first year of college (2009. Jimmy, Jamel, and EJ created a bond and the rest was history. Jimmy is a graduate of Saint Augustine's University and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at North Carolina Central University.

Jamel is a graduate of Saint Augustine's University and North Carolina A&T State University.
Hakeem met EJ spring of 2010 while preparing for a study abroad trip to China back in the summer of 2010. They later became initiated into the Fall 2010 Gamma Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Hakeem is a graduate of Saint Augustine's University and Eastern Illinois University.
Byron met EJ in college and they later became initiated into the Fall 2010 Gamma Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Byron is a graduate of Saint Augustine's University.
