The ceremony will start at 3:30 pm and is at Hacienda El Roble, Mesa de los Santos, in a coffee farm just outside of Bucaramanga. Mini-vans will go from the Hotel Club Campestre early afternoon.
Following the wedding ceremony there will be drinks, food, speeches and dancing at the venue! The mini-vans will take us back to Bucaramanga through the night, with things closing down around 2am.
Through the RSVP please provide a song or two that you wish to hear at the reception and Sam will see if he approves...
We know that all you beautiful people will look fantastic on the day, but here is some guidance on the dress code.
Women: Feel free to wear long dress, cocktail dress or skirt & top. You have license to go wild in colours and design but to avoid white!
Men: Colombian warm-weather wedding tradition is for men to wear a light shirt with khaki or pale colours trousers. Feel free to bring a jacket / blazer, as it get a bit cooler at night. Really just "smart casual". At least half shirt buttons done up…and leave the flip flops for the beach
....or Barichara!!
Check out isn't until 1pm so you can have the hotel inclusive breakfast, where you can reflect on how much you love Colombian weddings and curse the excessive consumption of Aguardiente!
We will be heading off to Barichara (inspiration for the setting of Encanto and old family holiday spot for Ale) for a couple of days and would love for you to join us, but appreciate many of you will want to see the more famous Colombian tourist spots. For those that wish to join, we can arrange for transport from the hotel, so please let us know in advance through the RSVP and dates if coming. This may involve a cable car and journey through national park. Further details to follow, including list of suitable hotels.
Equally for those short of time, feel free to go and spread your wings and embark on your own Colombia adventure, as there is a lot to see! See the Travel section for details on Barichara and inspiration for wider Colombia.
