Places to Eat

Up for Breakfast

The small eatery is on the second floor of an old building, and those who don’t want to wait should get there on the early side (they don’t take reservations, or credit cards). This country-style breakfast-only spot is best for a hearty omelette or the restaurant’s celebrated morning glory pancakes served with hot Vermont maple syrup.

Ye Old Tavern

Quaint, circa-1790 inn serving hearty New England & Continental dishes & classic cocktails.

Thai Basil

Traditional Thai cooking & a full bar are offered in a quaint, cozy space with a seasonal patio.

Things to Do

The Equinox Preservation Trust maintains beautiful hiking, biking, and riding trails through the woods of the southern Green Mountains. The Hildene Estate (built by Abraham Lincoln’s son Robert Todd) is a must-see, and definitely make time to visit the independent Northshire Bookstore.  Up for Breakfast is our go to (cash only) and The Silver Fork is a great pick for dinner. At night, plan to hang with us by the outdoor fire pit at the Taconic to take in the beautiful stars and chilly fall air.

Golf

The Golf Club at Equinox

Enjoy the crisp air and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains at this Par 71, 6,423 yard Vermont gem of a course. Along with our stunning course, The Golf Club at Equinox offers golf instruction, membership packages, and stay and play options.
