Dupe has known Tito her entire life, literally. Despite Tito's less than warm welcome after Dupe was born and some rocky teenage years, Dupe and Tito are proud to be not only sisters but best friends.
Dupe is currently completing her Law degree at the University of Toronto. She also works full time as a social worker for the Government of Ontario. Yet, she somehow always finds time to stay fit and have fun!
Dupé has been looking forward to celebrating this special day with Tito for a long time. She can’t wait to tell all of the most embarrassing stories about Tito at the reception. Stay tuned!
Tito and I got to know each other over theological conversations and computer rescues! We bonded over our love of the Lord and random discussions about life and love. I’ve been privileged to be a witness of what has led to this journey. I’m excited to share this day of love with Dayo and Tito!
Tito’s best features: heart and fake Nigerian accent!
Bethany lives in Kelowna, BC and teaches kindergarten for a living but mostly for fun. Tito and Bethany became fast friends at St. FX University in Nova Scotia and haven’t looked back since. Bethany can’t wait to celebrate all that the Lord has done in bringing Tito and Dayo together!
Lois lives in Calgary and is an expert homebody known to occasionally dabble in adventure given the right circumstances.
To earn a living she works in corporate financial planning and budgeting, and yes, excel spreadsheets are her jam.
Tito and Lois met through mutual friends. When Lois saw one of Tito's music parody videos (the Med school one) she knew she needed some of that goodness in her life, and she has been #blessed by Tito's life, testimony and friendship since.
Lois could not be happier to stand beside, and support Tito and Dayo, as they celebrate Love and undertake this commitment, to each other.
Ruth is Tito’s friend for life, saved by complete grace and bonded through faith in the one God that can change anybody’s life. Tito and Ruth met back in the days of St FX, where, although Tito was initially suspicious of Ruth’s ability to speak Portuguese, Ruth was absolutely sure that Tito and her would be close friends. Tito then opened up her home and heart to Ruth during that first year at X, and together with many others, is a great part of why Ruth is today a believer in Jesus.
To stand beside Tito on a day that has been so long coming, and is such a testimony to Gods faithfulness, is such an honour. I praise God for both Tito and Dayo and look forward to this whole thang happening this June 2020!!
Sarah works for a non profit in Calgary during the week and plays in the mountains on the weekend. She has a dog named Maple who is the recipient of all Sarah’s affection. Don’t start Sarah talking about Maple, she won’t stop and will show you a slide show of photos! You have been warned.
What Sarah has learnt from Tito: wigs and high speed tubing don’t mix.
What Sarah has learnt from Dayo: every purchase is negotiable.
Sarah is sooooo excited to be part of this wedding extravaganza!!!
Temitope lives in Edmonton. He is an Architect with a Masters in Environmental Design. He loves designing buildings and transforming "empty" spaces into beautiful sceneries. He enjoys watching Tv shows or playing soccer in his free time.
Tope sees Dayo not just as a friend, but as a brother. He believes Dayo is a go-getter and an individual who sets his priorities right. Dayo wants the people around him to be successful and he constantly encourages them to improve themselves. In early 2019, Dayo shared with him his plan to marry Tito. He is excited to see the plan become a reality.
He hopes through the years, Dayo & Tito become even better friends and share every happiness life brings. Congrats!
Woye is an attorney in the State of New York and is an associate in the public finance and economic development practice group of a regional law firm. He lives in Buffalo New York.
Woye and Dayo lived in adjacent rooms in the same hostel during their first year as law students at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Woye and Dayo, together with their third friend (Sola), made meals together, studied together and ultimately became brothers.
Woye is excited for Dayo as he has found love, and cannot wait to celebrate with Dayo and Tito as they officially begin their “journey to one” by June 2020.
Adeyemi lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but can’t wait to move, finally, to New York City, where he’ll work as a Tax and Bankruptcy lawyer. He recently completed his JD program at Harvard Law School, and he fancies himself something of a pop-philosopher and poet.
Adeyemi and Dayo met at Great Ife. Governor Dayo was the model student: impeccably dressed, a smile for everyone. Adeyemi was rarely in class, and he wouldn’t learn to smile until later. Adeyemi has great respect for Dayo’s certitude about his goals, his passion for service, and a deep sense of loyalty to his friends. These, and a strong commitment to the Sweet Boys Association (look at the man’s Instagram!).
Adeyemi long teased Dayo about his bachelorhood. So, when they discussed Tito for the first time and noticed the passion with which Dayo spoke of his admiration for her, Adeyemi knew that his friend would soon be off the market. Adeyemi is delighted to stand beside Tito and Dayo as they celebrate their love and commitment to each other.
Kenny met Dayo back in Nigeria when he was studying to become a lawyer. They attended Obafemi Awolowo University together and became close in the course of many students’ society activities they were part of and they both currently serve on the board of directors of Global Lawyers of Canada - Alberta chapter.
Kenny currently resides in Calgary, Alberta where he works with the securities law team at a top law firm.
Kenny is so excited for Tito & Dayo as they embark on this remarkable journey of life.
Agbolade is a fun and adventurous gentleman, living in Toronto, ON. He is a lawyer qualified in Nigeria and currently taking steps to be called to the Ontario Bar by January 2022. He has professional interests in everything law, finance, and investments. He moved to Canada in October 2019 to explore the amazing opportunities here and loves to "Jaiye" life in the city.
Dayo and Agbolade met in Lagos at their NYSC job interviews, where they became friends at the first interview in Babalakin & Co, then found themselves working at another law firm, UUBO. Dayo and Agbolade have since been very good friends who shared adventures at UUBO and kept in touch ever since.
Agbolade would never have missed this opportunity to stand beside his brother, Dayo, on this wonderful event as he marries the love of his life - Tito.
Ps: Jaiye means enjoyment!
Ayomide lives in Calgary. He is currently completing his master’s program in Biostatistics and Health Data Science at the University of Calgary.
Sometime in January 2018, Ayomide met Dayo at the Food court in MacEwan Hall, UofC. They exchanged pleasantries and in the course of their conversation, he concluded Dayo was smart, intelligent, funny, open-minded, and well-cultured. They became friends! Early 2019, Dayo informed him he found love. He could feel Dayo was deeply in love (Love is a beautiful thing, you know!).
I’m super excited to see they are both getting married and glad to be part of the groomsmen. Big congratulations to Dayo and Tito! May you enjoy much love and happiness throughout your lives together. Cheers.
