There are two airports that are convenient to use to get to Akron, Akron-Canton Regional Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). Akron-Canton (CAK) is of course is the closest airport. I recommend you check flights into both airports since which airport is cheaper often depends on the day and the market. For our frequent flyer friends, CAK is a Delta airport and CLE is an American Airport.

Akron-Canton Airport
Akron-Canton is a great little airport and super close to downtown Akron. You can easily get from drop- off to your gate in a half hour (or likely much less, but Matt says I am not reasonable with the amount of time I leave to get through airports).

GETTING TO AKRON:
-From Akron-Canton airport it takes about 16 minutes to get to downtown Akron and The Courtyard. An Uber or Lyft will cost about $20.00. Naturally, a taxi is more expensive.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
If you are running behind on the New York Times' "52 Places to go in 2015" list, then now is the time to cross Cleveland off your list! Cleveland Hopkins Airport is the larger airport serving northeast Ohio and occasionally has cheaper flights than its smaller neighbor. See which airport works better for you!

Getting to Akron: CLE is located 41 miles north of downtown Akron and, since this is the midwest, it actually takes about 41 minutes to travel this distance! An Uber or Lyft will cost you around $50 during off peak times, so if you fly into this airport a rental car (or a car pool) might be wise

We have reserved a block of 20 rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown. The rooms are decently discounted form the standard price ($119 vs $189) and we have arranged an Uber Party from the hotel, click "Day-Of Transportation" for more information. This hotel is close to the wedding location as well as all downtown Akron has to offer. Right outside the hotel are some very nice restaurants. MMMmmmm Luigi's pizza....

If you'd like a room at our hotel, the rooms are being held until October 9th, so be sure to book before that date to get the discount. So you are aware, this hotel frequently fills up on weekends. Full disclosure, there are less expensive hotels farther from downtown (15-20 minutes), if you'd rather something a bit cheaper.

For our guests staying at the Marriott, we have arranged for a shuttle to transport guests back and forth to the wedding and the reception. The shuttle times are listed below.

Wedding Shuttle will depart the Marriott at 1:00 and 1:15pm to take people to the church.

After the wedding, the shuttle will return people to the Marriott. One shuttle will depart once the receiving line is complete, approximately 2:30 and a second shuttle will depart after the family photos are done, approximately 2:45. In addition to making a stop at the Marriott, the shuttle will also stop at the Akron Art Museum in case anyone wants to fill their time! The museum is free to vets and their families for Veteran's Day Weekend! for more information, see the "Akron" Section.

The Reception shuttle will depart from the Marriott at 4:45PM. It will make a quick stop at the Art Museum and then drop guests off at Greystone Hall for the cocktail hour at 5.

The shuttle will start making trips from the Greystone back to the Marriott at 10pm and will make trips every 15 minutes until the last trip at 11:20.

Matt and I are hoping for your help to capture all the little moments of our special day. All you need to have is an iPhone or Android.

WeddingMix is making us a custom app that we can share with you. If you download it onto your phone and take photos or videos during any part of our wedding weekend, showers, etc, they will edit and compile them into a wedding video for us.

Simply go to the iTunes App store or Google Play - it's a free app - and you can add your video clips and pictures to our final wedding video!

The password to log into our wedding is "thebushesmakeitlegal".

Feel free to take videos as much or as little as you want of ANYTHING (seriously, anything) you want. As much as we'd love to capture all of the "standard" wedding moments, we'd also love you guys to video your ride down, getting ready, any well wishes, your thoughts on our day, etc. Of course we hope you will make sure to capture anything that might be fodder for a good laugh down the road!
