Let's be honest. Duffy is the real reason Terra and Neil are together today! Terra and Neil both graduated from the University of Michigan in 2011 and even though they ran in the same circles of friends, they never met in college. After graduating, Neil moved to Chicago while Terra continued living in Ann Arbor. Though their paths would cross at various times, including the wedding of their respective college roommates, they still did not meet.
It was not until the summer of 2015, that the stars aligned and the two finally met over half-off wine night at Cafe Felix in Ann Arbor (it would take five years for Terra to learn that Neil actually despises wine!). Neil had moved to Ann Arbor for residency at Michigan and Terra, being the friendly person she is, decided to welcome him to town with a drink. After all, they did have mutual friends! They talked for more than a drink and Neil told Terra all about his puppy roommate. Although Terra is quite allergic to dogs (a fact she kept hidden from Neil), Terra said she'd love to meet this cute dog some day. Eventually Neil invited Terra over to meet Duffy and she fell in love with the dog - and Neil! The rest is history!
