Please Log inWelcome! We are excited to host a casual welcome party with street food, mehendi, games, & drinks to welcome our beloved family and friends this weekend! Thank you for coming!
Casual
American or Indian attire is fine!
Females: anything from a salwar kameez, casual dress, or pants with a nice top works.
Males: pants with a t-shirt, polo, or button-up. Can wear a kurta if you want!
Dress comfortably, as you will be on your feet for most of the night. If you choose to get henna, we recommend something that isn’t too fussy and exposes your hands & wrists easily.
We will have an Indian ceremony in the afternoon, and an American ceremony in the early evening. Both ceremonies will be located at Indiana Landmarks.
11:30am - Indian ceremony starts
12:30pm - Indian ceremony concludes
1 - 5pm - INTERMISSION - this is free time for guests to relax, explore Indy, or rest up for the evening celebrations! There will be vegetarian Indian lunch served at Indiana Landmarks after the Indian ceremony, for those interested.
5:00pm - American ceremony begins
5:30pm - Cocktail hour begins
Formal
While the preferred dress for Saturday’s events are Indian clothes, it’s perfectly fine to come in American attire! You will be sitting during both ceremonies, and it will be indoors.
Females: Any style Indian clothes is fine (saree, salwar kameez, anarkali, etc)! Or semi-formal American dress.
Males: Kurta or suit (jacket not needed).
Check out the "What to Wear" section of our website for examples of Indian clothing.
Formal
Indian or American attire. You are welcome to wear your outfit from the Indian/American ceremonies, or change to a different outfit. The bride and groom will be wearing Indian clothes
Females: bring out the fancy lehengas, anarkali's, saree's! If you don't want to wear Indian clothes, we recommend a formal American dress (that's easy to dance in!)
Males: Sherwani, kurta, or suit with jacket (tux is optional!)
Check out the "What to Wear" section of our website for examples of Indian clothing.
Pins is our favorite hang out spot in Indianapolis! It is a full bar with many lanes of duckpin bowling, arcade games, bocce ball, ping pong tables, and a 2nd floor space with outdoor balcony & more!
We'll have some bowling lanes, seating areas reserved and late-night food. Please come and enjoy the end of the night with us!
You are welcome to change into more casual clothes, or just come in your reception attire! If staying at the Bottleworks, it’ll be convenient to do a quick outfit change.
Kavitha and Ted will be staying in their lehenga and tux!
We will be providing shuttle transportation from the Reception to the after party.
If you're staying at The Bottleworks Hotel - the after party is located across the street, so you can easily stumble back home.
If driving to the after party (please do not drink and drive) there is paid parking lot available next door. Otherwise, we recommend using Uber/Lyft which is available at all hours of the night.
