So I have read through this entire FAQs page and I still have some questions. What should I do?

Booking

Can I use my own travel agent or booking website when booking my accomodations?

Booking through 3rd parties, your own travel agents, or directly through the Hard Rock Website will not be honored. We will be paying significant out of pocket fees per person per wedding event if you do not book into our wedding block through our booking agency. ROOMS MUST BE BOOKED in our wedding block through our personal booking site in order to attend the wedding and secure the discounted rate. We appreciate your understanding.

This does not pertain to booking your own air transportation. Feel free to book your own flights. Though if you are having difficulty finding flights, please ask our travel agent, Chrissy, and she will do her best to help!


Children

Are children welcome?

We want nothing more than this weekend to be enjoyable yet memorable for all of our guests! With that, the wedding itself and reception following, will be adults only. The resort, however, is kid/family friendly and offers an array of fun activities which also includes childcare services. The Kids Club is loaded with all the amenities of an all-inclusive luxury resort, with fun, kid-oriented activities scheduled throughout the week, making for a vacation experience parents appreciate and children will never forget! Let them play and have fun in a secure environment while you enjoy too. We encourage you to take advantage of any amenities that would best suit your family!


Deadlines

What are the deadlines regarding RSVPs, booking, and resort payment?

IMPORTANT DEADLINES


June 30, 2020: Please RSVP via our website. We encourage you to book your accommodations through our booking site by this date as we can only secure rooms in our block until this date.  A non-refundable down payment of only $100 per room for up to 2 people (additional $50 for any guest over that) is required to secure your room. Final payments for resort accommodations are due if you DO NOT purchase travel insurance.

August 7, 2020: Final payments for resort accommodations are due if you DO purchase travel insurance.

September 1, 2020: Final date that you can book in order to secure a wedding spot. Though your room must be paid in full at time of booking and your room is subject to availability at the resort.

Wedding weekend events

Are there any other events besides the ceremony being held over the weekend?

We are planning a cocktail hour/reception (PARTY!!!) hosted at the resort following the ceremony on October 24th. Time and exact location to be determined. We are also planning on hosting a Welcome Party to kick things off! We are thinking this will most likely be held the evening of Thursday, October 22nd. This may change depending on when most people will be arriving.

Limitless All-inclusive

What does the LIMITLESS ALL-INCLUSIVE experience entail?

The Hard Rock takes the "all inclusive" experience to the next level. Not only is your stay unlimited, including food, drinks, activities, and entertainment, but with your booking price with the resort, each guest will receive a limitless amount of resort credits. These credits can be used for excursions, spa treatments, salon services, and much more (only 25% service fee required)!  Shared round trip transfers from/to the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) are also included in the rates when booking with our designated travel agent. A few of the All-Inclusive experiences include casual and a la carte dining, beverages (fine wine & top shelf liquors), 24/7 room service, pool and beach side service, nightly entertainment, in-room WiFi and SO much more!
 While there is a 3 night minimum, most guests choose to add nights at the discounted rate before and after the wedding in order to enjoy the incredible resort with friends and family.

Note: Due to strong currents that could lead even the most experienced swimmers to dangerous conditions, it is not safe for guests to swim in the ocean. 


Weather

What will the weather be like in Los Cabos?

In late October, the temperature in Los Cabos ranges from 71°F to 88°F. Cabo tends to be sunny, less humid, and only has on average 10 rain days per year, similar to the beautiful weather in Southern California!


Travel Insurance

Should I purchase travel insurance?

While this is entirely up to you, we strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance. If you elect travel insurance through our booking agent, you will receive a full refund for your room if you cancel for ANY reason up until 70 days before your travel date. If you cancel within 70 days of travel you will receive a future travel credit which can be used at any of the Preferred Partner resorts including Hard Rock.

Resort amenities

What amenities does the resort offer?

Located on the shores of Cabo San Lucas, the 639-room Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos offers visitors unmatched guest services, luxurious all-inclusive amenities, and diverse offerings to guests of all ages.
This brand-new property is nicely situated within the Diamante Development. Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos features breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and almost one kilometer of pristine sandy beachfront. The hotel offers eight restaurants, 5 pools with swim-up bars, spa, fitness center, and both a children’s & teen’s areas. Guests will also enjoy 3 slides at the main resort pool and a bowling alley inside the Moonlight Lounge.


Transportation

How do I arrange transportation to the resort and back to the airport?

Once you have arrived at the airport, your transportation to the Hard Rock Hotel will be provided as part of your stay with our wedding group. Shared round trip transfers from/to the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) are included in the booking rate.


Passport

What are the passport requirements for Mexico?

GET YOUR PASSPORTS READY!!! Travel to Mexico requires valid passports, even for US Citizens. Please ensure that your passport expires after April 24th, 2021 (6 months from the date of entry into Mexico). Mexico has no visa requirement for US, Canada, UK, and Australian Citizens, but you will be asked to fill out a FMM form (Mexico’s visitor permit) on the plane or once you land. Once you get to immigration and customs at Los Cabos airport, the agents will give you the bottom half to retain until you leave the country. It is VERY important to keep this secure until you leave Mexico.


Currency

What type of currency can be used in Mexico?

The Mexican peso is the currency of Mexico. However, US dollars and VISA/MASTERCARDS are widely accepted in most of the resorts and restaurants. There are exchange bureaus in the lobby if needed.


Time zone

What is the time zone in Los Cabos?

Los Cabos is on Mountain Standard Time (MST). 


Check-in & Check-out

What time is check-in and check-out?

The check-in time is at 3:00 PM, the check-out time is 12:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability. If you arrive early, you can go to the front desk and you will be provided with a wristband that gives you access to hotel grounds and restaurants.


Dining

How many restaurants and bars are there at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos?

The hotel has 8 different specialty restaurants. Complemented with 3 bars & lounges. They highly recommend you make reservations at the specialty restaurants upon your arrival. 


Internet access

Does the resort have internet access?

Yes, the hotel has free Wi-Fi internet access throughout all common areas and rooms. They also have computers available at the lobby for your use at no additional charge.

How will we be updated about details regarding the wedding weekend events?

Night minimum

How many nights should I stay? Is there a minimum?

We will be staying from October 20 - October 28. Feel free to join us for as many days as you'd like! Keep in mind that there is a minimum stay of 3 nights required in our wedding block. In order to attend all the festivities/events, we suggest to plan your stay from at least October 22 - October 25, 2020.


When booking through our travel agent, the following promotion/discount applies: Rooms staying 5 or more nights will receive a $40 per room per night discount at time of final invoice. Rooms staying 3 or 4 nights that arrive on Sunday or Monday will receive a $40 per room per night discount at the time of final invoice. Discounts of 5 nights or more are not combinable with discount arriving on Sunday or Monday. Reservations qualify for only one of the discounts.


Room categories

Are we able to book any room category available at the resort through the travel agent?

Yes! There are multiple room categories available at the Hard Rock Hotel. All Ocean View! We reserved a combination of room categories in our wedding block based off which we thought would be most popular. However, if there is a specific room type/category that you would prefer, but it does not appear on the rooms available in the wedding block, you can still request/book your room of choice. Please contact Chrissy (our travel agent) regarding any room preferences not seen in the wedding block.
