First impressions are all too important. On a brisk January evening in Sunnyvale Vikram and Shivangi would meet for the first time over tea. The ensuing date left each lovebird with an indelible impression of the other. One date, turned into two, turned into regular meetings and the beginning of 2020 saw the blossom of a new couple.
With the declaration of a national emergency two days after the couple had started their relationship in March 2020, Vikram and Shivangi found their love being put to the test early on. Face to face dates and adventures had to happen virtually over record-long video calls and episodes of Tiger King. Neither worried, nor impatient, the two had quickly found a love worth fighting for. April showers brought May flowers and soon they were ready to introduce each other to their families.
In 2021, Shivangi and Vikram's connection had reached new heights and broader audiences. Their families got along almost as well as they did, friends provided the proper signoffs and the year that was lost to COVID-19 was being seized back.
Over road trips along NorCal's coasts, travels around the world, and endless phone conversations they began to set their sights on more ambitious horizons.
2022 end, Vikram asked for Anju and Neeraj's blessings to marry their daughter with Roopa and Prasad's support in this exciting next step in life. Over the next few months Vikram planned the surprise engagement barely escaping Shivangi's investigative gaze.
On April 28th, 2023, Vikram Sastry proposed to Shivangi Agarwal at the Calla Lily Valley in Big Sur, a place Shivangi had brought him 2 years earlier.
And so we reach present day! The blessed couple is excited to share the special day with all of their family, friends and, of course, each other.
