Different Villages

Fira (Cliffside)

Fira is the capital of Santorini. On the caldera side you get one of the best views of the island and the activity level is enough to keep you entertained for hours. There are cafes, bars, restaurants, all with views and some with several levels of patios and balconies. Fira is in a great location in the middle of the island with a local bus stop so you can get anywhere easily.

Kamari (By Black Beach)

The long and wide famous Kamari beach is in walking distance and there are many bars, restaurants, cafes, super markets and other shops to spend your time. The beach is covered with black volcanic sand and lined with sun-beds and umbrellas for you to lay out.

Perivolos (By Black Beach)

The seaside village of Perivolos is quite popular, largely among young people, as it holds the liveliest beach resort. It is a small place that lies at the southeast coast of Santorini, very close to Perissa village. There are nice restaurants that offer local specialties, warm cafes and bustling bars with lively music. It has many beach bars and pool venues with entertainment. The beach is covered with black volcanic sand and lined with sun-beds and umbrellas for you to lay out.

Perivolos is a good spot to stay if you are looking to explore the southern part of the island.

Oia (Tip of the Island)

Oia is the most photogenic town, a maze of small shops, restaurants and cafes, all with spectacular views of the rest of the island and the caldera.

Oia is famous for its chic and expensive restaurants and great shopping. The whole place is built along the Cliffside. We do not recommend this as an area to stay in as it's the most expensive part of Santorini and far from everything else, but we highly encourage you to do a day trip to Oia!

Below you can find some other recommendations:

• Rent an ATV and go around the whole island in one day. An ATV makes it easy to pull over and stop by any location or the side of the road to take a beautiful photo! Most hotels should be able to help you rent one.

• Go to a winery and enjoy the Caldera views.

• Catamaran Cruise (sunset, volcano, hot springs).

• Santorini Bus Tour (winery and/or sightseeing).

• Walk around the different villages as there are many small shops to find souvenirs and beautiful architecture to see.
