We met at Western Michigan University in one of our engineering classes, when our professor assigned us to be lab partners. At first, Tommy wasn’t too thrilled about having a sorority girl as his lab partner, but I soon won him over with my good looks and genius-ness and we became friends. Throughout college, we continued to be in all of the same classes and would choose to work together on homework, projects, etc. I secretly always had a crush on Tommy, but was too scared to tell him because I didn’t want to lose him as a friend, and the timing was never right.
After college, I moved down to Baton Rouge, LA where my new job was. We continued to keep in touch throughout the two and a half years I was in Louisiana and remained good friends. In March of 2016, I decided to accept a new position in Green Bay, WI and moved back to the Midwest. Tommy called me on my birthday (mine is May 28th, his is May 29th!) and decided it would be a good idea for us to meet up for our birthdays and catch up. So that weekend, I drove down to Valparaiso, IN and we spent the whole time catching up, and we both admitted that we have had crushes on each other for a long time! After that weekend, we have been together ever since!
