Rohan and Anisha met at a Bollywood Fusion Dance competition in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the spring of 2014! Anisha was the female lead for the Hindi Film Dance team at the University of Southern California and Rohan was a University of Michigan gymnast and stuntsman for Michigan Izzat, a fusion dance team.
One year later, they reunited in the United Kingdom where Rohan was training for gymnastics and Anisha was finishing a dance tour. They had their first date in London!
Anisha went on to dental school at UCSF and then back to USC for her orthodontics residency while Rohan finished his gymnastics training chasing a spot at the Rio Olympics and then started medical school in his home state at the University of Oklahoma. They have been dating for almost 7 years and are excited at the prospect to finally be living in the same time zone!
Rohan proposed to Anisha on Jan 3, 2020 at sunset on an LA rooftop, a couple months before COVID shut the world down!
Trojan and Wolverine fans will be given extra fist bumps at the wedding.
