Getting to Koh Samui
This will be a long-hall flight for all so we encourage you to arrive either on the island over the weekend and check-in to the Avani hotel on the Sunday night (feel free to check in earlier if you want!). Post wedding, feel free to stay at the Avani hotel (at the negotiated rate we have secured for our group) as long as you wish. We will be departing on the Saturday 18th of June.
Entry Requirements (Updated 21/05)
Fully Vaccinated Persons must :
- Register on Thailand Pass https://tp.consular.go.th/home
- Attach required documents including passport, certificate of vaccination
- Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
(COVID-19 test, both prior to and after arriving in Thailand, is no longer required)
We will have all your travel needs sorted once you arrive on Koh Samui island, so your main focus is on flights - please see a list of recommended websites to book and considerations currently:
- Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar, Qantas, EVA Air, Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa appear to have best options. Your last leg flight to Koh Samui will be with Bangkok Airways as they're only airline currently allowed to do domestic flights in Thailand.
Once booked, please let the Avani Hotel know your flight details so they can coordinate your transport from the airport to the hotel. We will aim to have different groups of guests travelling together to the hotel. (avaniplus.samui@avanihotels.com)
