Visit Roscommon Castle

Now in ruins, this 13th-century Norman castle was once in the hands of Hugh O'Connor, King of Connaught. Its a very picturesque place to visit and is actually used by many couples as the backdrop to their wedding photos. Lovely place for a shorter walk.

Mote Park Trails

Mote Park walks take you on forest road and paths through a mature conifer plantation of Norway spruce, Scots Pine and Oak. There are two way marked trails, the Crofton and bluebell loop walks. You can access the park by foot from the town.

Roscommon Golf Club

If you are interested in playing golf while you are over for the weekend, talk to Phil Doherty or Phil Cooke (Anna wants absolutely no part in it).
