Traveling to the Italian Riviera

Flying to this coast is relatively hassle-free and inexpensive. The budget airline market covers the nearest major airports, while British Airways has regular daily flights to Genova. The Italian Riviera is easily accessible from the following airports:

Milan Malpensa MXP (approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes)

The train is a practical and reliable way to travel between major towns in Liguria and to nearby regions. With stops in the major coastal towns and reliable and on- time schedules, you can basically travel without stress.

It’s especially ideal for trips from Liguria to Milan or Rome where having a car can seem like more of a hassle than anything else. Also great, ticket counters are usually equipped with multilingual tellers, making communication a breeze.

The train takes approximately 2 hours to arrive at Santa Margherita from Milan and costs about euro 25 per person; while from Genoa, it takes approximately 40 minutes and costs about 4 euro per person.
