Islamorada, Florida
Islamorada is a small group of islands located in the Florida Keys, half-way between Miami and Key West. Islamorada is known as the sport fishing capital of the world and boasts some of the most stunning sunsets ever seen. It's laid-back style, amazing restaurants and bars, combined with abundant land and sea adventures make it the perfect place to say "I Do".

We are still in the process of planning some exciting group activities and finalizing the details for the wedding day. Please keep checking our "Events" tab" as we get closer to our big day as we will continue to update with more details.
All Wedding Events will be held at Cheeca Lodge Resort and Spa in Islamorada. Please check the Accommodations section for more information
To the right, we have included a rough outline of wedding related events and activities and their estimated times so that you may plan your travel dates. Although, we will be offering planned events starting on Sunday for any travelers that want to arrive then, you can also choose to arrive Monday before the main wedding events begin that evening.
We would like the members of the wedding party to arrive on Sunday, December 5, if possible, so they can participate in planned activities Sunday night.
There are 3 major airports that service the Florida Keys. They are Miami Airport, Fort Lauderdale Airport and Key West Airport. Miami is the closest, and in our opinion, the best option if able to chose as far as speed and ease of car rentals. Key West is a great option if you want to spend an extra day or two in Key West before or after the wedding. It is a much smaller airport so not a ton of flights, but the car rental prices are very reasonable.
Depending on the airport, Islamorada is 1 1/2 to 2 hours away by rental car or the Keys Shuttle. Driving in the Florida Keys is breathtaking and you won't even notice the time. Below, you will find airport, car rental & shuttle information for each specific arrival city.
TO THE RIGHT, I have included information for UNDER-AGE drivers (21-24 year-olds) and for those that need transportation or would like to carpool
Miami Airport (MIA)
Land at Miami Airport and you can be in Islamorada in about an 90 minutes by renting a car or hopping on a shuttle bus.
The car rental agencies are attached to Miami airport via the MIA Mover, a rapid people mover. You can connect to the MIA Rental Car Center using the MIA Mover, located on the 3rd level between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages. Use the 3rd level Skyride (moving walks) to access the MIA Mover station.
Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL)
Fort Lauderdale Airport is about 25 miles north of Miami Airport and is a great alternative.
Land at Fort Lauderdale Airport and you can be in Islamorada in under 2 hours by renting a car or hopping on a shuttle bus.
The Car Rental Center is located next to Terminal 1 at the airport, and is accessible via a catwalk from level 2. If you are arriving in terminal 2, 3 or 4, follow the signs to the consolidated rental facility shuttle bus pickup area. The shuttle bus is no more than a 5 minute drive to the Car Rental Center.
Key West Airport (EYW)
Land at Key West Airport and you can be in Islamorada in under 2 hours by renting a car. This route is one of the most beautiful drives in the country, but allow extra time for traffic
Most of the car rental companies are located inside the airport. There are a couple where you have to take a short shuttle ride to get your car.
Keys Airport Shuttle
Keys Shuttle provides daily door to door shuttle service from the Florida Keys from/to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports. Leaving multiple times a day, seven days a week - In new, clean, comfortable, full size vans carrying a maximum of twelve passengers. This is a shared service with a set rate per person. They will drop-off and pick-up directly from the Resort.
For larger parties, it is less per person to have them run a private shuttle. When you run a quote on their website, it gives you both prices and allows you to play with the number of passengers to check price difference.
If you are interested in the Keys Shuttle, please email or call the Mother of the Bride, Kelly Pagano at Pagano12111@gmail.com or 401-374-5697 so that we can try and group as many people as possible together to reduce your fare.
