it all started at harmony elementary school.. well sort of. not really actually. we grew up in the same town so we went to the same elementary school, middle school, and high school. we pretty much knew each other our whole lives but summer of 2019 is really 'where it all began.' i was actually living in California but came back home to Washington for a few months. blake just finished college so we were both back in Vancouver. with a little help from ryan young and jorge (jorge's tequila factory) we became friends again and quickly realized we wanted to be more than that.
what i thought was happening: we were going to dinner with blake's parents to celebrate my graduation for my masters degree.
what really happened: we got to the waterfront to meet blake's parents who just so happened to be 'running a little late for dinner.' blake and i walked along the waterfront while we waited for them.
all of a sudden blake took my hands and started saying all these nice things. of course i couldn't stop laughing and asking blake what he was doing. before dropping down on one knee he said “i think you know what i’m doing.”
