Third time's the charm :)

As Told by Mira:

On the evening of May 14, 2016, two of my friends Evalina and Vinny convinced me to attend a social event called a Fred Event in the heart of DC, which I had no objections to as it was the weekend after my 24th birthday. Not long after our arrival, I found myself standing alone as both Evalina and Vinny had wandered off to mingle with other attendees (they are big social butterflies lol). Although I am no introvert, on this particular evening I was not very interested in socializing however, God had other plans it seems. A few moments later, I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder and heard the soft voice of someone from behind offering to get me something to drink or eat. Did I look hungry or thirsty? I politely refused. About 10 minutes later, the same soft voice returned to ask why I was standing alone and if I would like to join him and his friends where they were gathered. Did I look lonely? I guess I did so I explained that I was there with friends and again politely refused. I don’t think he believed me as another 10 minutes passed and once again the same gentle touch and soft voice returned to inquire about my wellbeing. Before now, I had not actually turned around to see who this person was, so I finally did, and I saw a warm smile with dimples and soft eyes looking straight into mine. They say that third time's the charm and that statement held true in this case. The rest is history/ his story.

My Heart Melted

As told by Michael:

My boy Fred (groomsman ) was having an event in DC. I went with a couple of my friends to the event and we got a VIP section. After about an hour I noticed this tall, fine modelesque chick standing by herself (she looked bored) lol. I typically do not approach people I do not know however, this time around, I found something very intriguing about this fine chick. I approached her and introduced myself. She wasn’t as mean as she makes it seem lol. She responded with her name (I didn’t hear it but didn’t ask her to repeat). I offered her a drink/food ... she refused. I asked her to come to sit with me in my section... She refused. I was like “this chick paa” . This is unusual. This made me even more interested. I went back to her and offered again... She refused but had a small smile this time. My ego was slightly bruised. I knew I couldn’t lose. Thus,  I went back for the last time. We had a longer conversation, her smile broadened more and more and I got her number.
YES !!!!!!!! (mind u I didn’t remember her name).  I prayed she texted me first with her name. The next morning I received a text... "Hi Michael this is Mira King" (she spelled her full name ) your Trini -Naija friend.......... My heart melted.
The rest is history.
