Our 1st Photo at Picnic Point

Like strangers in the night, we passed each other in the UW ED not knowing what future lie ahead. It wouldn't be until a mutual friend and self-proclaimed match maker, Jen Quinn, would set us up on a date that we would ever see each other as potential romantic endeavors.

Our first date was of the classiest evenings, starting at the Free House and then progressing to the renowned establishment, The Hody. It was here that Jen Quinn made a sneaky escape and left the two of us alone.

A couple drinks later and we went our separate ways but with dreams of future dates. Ross politely gave Megan a hug goodnight and Megan politely gave him a quick smack on the butt for the road!

First Social Media Post

Over the next several months, we would go on many dates and adventures but kept the relationship relatively quiet from our ED coworkers, we all know the scandal that could've ensued with a doctor and nurse dating (insert gasp).

This photo was part of our first social media post letting the world know that we were in fact dating and also very much starting to fall in love!

Oregon or Bust

After 6 months of dating, we took on a bold adventure and took our 1st vacation together to the Pacific Northwest. We elected to take a road trip and traveled from the top of Oregon, down along the Pacific Coast, to a smoky Crater Lake and then finally to brewery infested Portland. We had no idea that this was the make-or-break trip as we spent hours in the car together with only each other to talk to and spent the evenings in tiny homes.

It was an amazing adventure that sealed the deal for the relationship moving forward!

Big 3

Our shared interest of hitting the slopes landed us in picturesque Banff, Canada for our first ski trip. We conquered the Big 3 together, shredding the powder and relaxing in the trees between ski runs enjoying a cold beer or two.

Backwood Cigars for Dad

Relationships are about the ups and the downs. We had some amazing ups and adventures and our relationship was strong but it wasn't until Megan's dad passed away unexpectedly that we both realized the depth of how much we cared and loved each other. It was here that we grew stronger together.

Breweries and Laughs

Summer months and warm weather meant more adventures including road trips in the Jeep, endless brewery visits, teardrop camper nights and belly hurting laughs as we continued to build our lives together.

Here On Out

Our annual ski trip of 2020 took us to Big Sky, Montana. Here we would again enjoy the adventures on the mountains. It was in the treeline off the Congo Line run that Ross would sink down into the snow and propose. It was here that our Here On Out adventure would begin!
