At this time, travel insurance is mandatory to enter the country of Costa Rica.
Whats required:
• Validity of the effective policy during the visit in Costa Rica.
• Guarantee of coverage for medical expenses in cases of pandemic disease COVID 19 in Costa Rica, for at least US $50,000 (fifty thousand dollars of the United States of America). However, if you purchase local insurance coverage, the minimum required by the Health Authorities is $20,000.
• Minimum coverage of US $2,000 for extended lodging expenses due to pandemic illness or trip interruption/cancellation due to illness, which covers the extra cost of the passenger due to quarantine.
What do we do now?
1. Purchase the US insurance we quote for you following your booking. Note: The Cancel for Any Reason Benefit must be booked within 21 days of placing deposit.
We will send you a quote from Travel Insured International after you complete your client portal tasks. PLEASE DO NOT DELAY in completing this. Your delay in completing this, will delay our team sending you an insurance quote and Vagablonde Travel will not be responsible if you are beyond 21 days after deposit and cannot add the Cancel For Any Reason benefit.

• To be considered part of the wedding group, you must book through the group rates and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). We have negotiated competitive group rates and secured a room block to make this as easy as possible for our bride and groom.
• Rates are available 3 days pre/post the room block dates of 02/23 - 02/27 (based on availability)
• Room rates are per person per night in USD and include all taxes and gratuities.
• Rates Exclude: Travel Protection and Transportation.
• Vagablonde Travel will help book your roundtrip transportation as a group.
• To avoid the single occupancy premium we suggest you bring a guest. Single occupancy incurs roughly a 50-100% premium increase for 1 adult in a room.
• Additional fees will apply to visit the resort or come to wedding related events should you book off property. The pre-negotiated rates include hotel accommodations, hotel tax and fees, housekeeping and bellman gratuities. Room categories are available on a first come, first serve basis within the block.
• IMPORTANT: To book at these rates you are REQUIRED to stay a minimum of 3 nights.

CHANGES/LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS
• Any changes must be done in writing and changes requested after the balance due date must be paid for in full upfront even before they are confirmed.
• Changes made within 14 days of travel will incur a $25 fee.
• Last minute bookings within 21 days of travel will incur a $150 fee.

Closest airport to the resort is LIBERIA International Airport (LIR).
We recommend booking your flights as early as you can. You may book it via your favorite airline or allow us to do so for a small fee of $39.
Consider using miles or credit card points if you have them. If you would like to book your flight + hotel as a package this can be arranged as well. In the reservation form mark "YES" to the flight question and you will be contacted to verify airline and connection preferences for published rates.
However, there is no guarantee that we have better flight prices than what you may find on your own and we cannot guarantee we are contracted with every airline. There may be instances when we cannot book your air if we do not have a contract with a specific airline, such as Spirit Airlines. We are also not able to use credit card points or miles towards your flight.

Deposit
A non-refundable* deposit of $200 per room is due to secure your room. Placing the deposit secures the room and we have flexibility to add or remove travelers up until 60 days prior to travel. The deposit and ONLY the deposit will incur a small non refundable processing fee of $6.28.
When booking you room, you will have the option to pick
• deposit only
• pay in full
• apply an additional amount over the $200
To be clear, this will not change your first transaction amount. Everyone's first transaction will be $206.28 and based on your selection, we will either leave the $200 or apply subsequent amounts to your booking.

What you will see on your Credit Card Statement:
• Your first payment will be processed with VAGABLONDE, INC.
• Subsequent payments will be processed with CLASSIC VACATIONS.

Refunds (should you need to request one)
Should you cancel with insurance before the final payment date, refunds will be awarded directly from both Vagablonde, Inc and CLASSIC VACATIONS.
If you cancel after the final payment date, you are responsible to file a claim to receive your refund with the insurance company. We will provide documentation if needed.

2. Purchase Health Insurance
It is mandatory that tourists purchase travel insurance, covering their accommodations in case of quarantine and medical expenses due to COVID-19 illness. An explanation of one’s travel insurance coverage, addressing Costa Rica’s requirements, must be uploaded or entered into the HEALTH PASS in order to be reviewed and approved by the Costa Rican authorities. If more information on international insurance is needed, the Costa Rican authorities will contact the passenger at the email address indicated in the HEALTH PASS.
In the case of international insurance, the tourist must request from their insurer a certification issued in English or Spanish, noting at least three conditions, without forgetting to add it to the HEALTH PASS:
• Validity of the effective policy during the visit in Costa Rica.
