COVID-19 FaQ

Please check back for updates to information on how we are handling COVID-19.

Q: Are the events indoors or outdoors?

A: All formal wedding events will be taking place outdoors in open air. The only enclosed setting will be during transportation to-and-from the wedding ceremony venue on May 6th.

Q: How many people will be in attendance?

A: We anticipate anywhere from 60-80 people in attendance to each event.

Q: Will you require masks?

A: We will adhere to federal and local laws in Mexico. Masks may not be required during the outdoor events and ceremony. However, we will require masks on transportation and in any indoor enclosed areas. We welcome guests to wear masks at anytime during our events and ask that guests respect each others comfort levels.  We suggest that all guests bring masks with them to each event in case they need to adhere to local / federal laws or venue requirements (ex: indoor restrooms) at any moment in time.

Q: Will there be social distancing?

A: We will try our best to create an environment that is both safe and comfortable for everyone. We will have guests that may be considered higher risk.  We may not be able to guarantee the 6ft rule for social distancing during the reception's sit down dinner. As we have the final guest count, exact measures will be considered. We are also looking at ways for guests to easily communicate to others their comfort levels so that individual boundaries are not crossed.

All venues are open air and spacious. The event that will be most restrictive with social distancing will be the Boat party on May 8th, given the size of the boat and its capacity.  The boat is an open air catamaran.

Q: How are your venues handling health & sanitation?

A: Our chosen venues take health & safety seriously and are going above and beyond CDC guidelines. Please click on the links below for exact information.

Safety at Cabo Azul Resort & Javier's

**Onsite COVID Testing may still be in effect at the Resort.

Q: Do you suggest any precautions before attending?

A: We suggest limiting your contact with others in the weeks leading up to your travels to prevent any risks of infection that could force you to cancel your trip.  We want you to be there! We will not require proof of a negative test, but we suggest getting a test before your travels.

Q: The U.S. requires a negative COVID-19 test within 3 days of someone's flight back into the United States. How can I get a test?

A: The Los Cabos Tourism Board announced that starting on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, all international travelers visiting Los Cabos will have access to a COVID-19 test before their scheduled international departure. This meets with the requirement of a negative test for all air passengers departing to the U.S. per The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) order and to Canada per the Government of Canada order. All hotels and timeshares in the destination are equipped with the Antigen test and medical personnel to administer the test along with the medical certificate required by the CDC.

Rapid antigen testing is available on-site at Cabo Azul, by appointment only, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Guests must contact the Front Desk to schedule their appointment. The test costs $40 USD per person. Guests with positive results will be notified within a 4-hour time frame and must follow the resort’s quarantine procedures. Guests with negative results will be informed within 24-hours and can receive a printed document upon checkout.
