Getting to Sun Valley can be an adventure itself! We highly recommend booking your flights as soon as you can.
Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN)
- 25 min drive to Sun Valley
- Small, local airport in Hailey, ID
- Delta, Alaska, limited United
Magic Valley Regional Airport (Twin Falls - TWF)
- 1.5 hr drive (very easy)
- Flights connect from Salt Lake City, which makes flights a bit more affordable.
Boise Int'l Airport (BOI)
- 2.5 hr drive to Sun Valley
- The most affordable and flexible option.
- Rental cars are available at the airport, or coordinate with friends to get a big shuttle!

Salt Lake City: tons of cheap flights, ~4.5 hr. drive to Sun Valley.
Driving: Sun Valley is ~11.5 hours from Denver, CO.

Air BnB + VRBO
There are NO UBERS OR LYFTS at this time in the broader Sun Valley/Ketchum area.
So we HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking at one of the above hotel options because you will have some sort of in-town car service will all locations.
If you choose to rent a car, an air bnb may be a great fit for you! Otherwise, we heavily advise booking a hotel.
If you are in need of a babysitter during the day for activities or on the night of the wedding, Sun Valley Super Sitters offers wonderful help. They have been serving the Wood River Valley, providing nannies, babysitters, and taking care of local and visiting families since 1996.
Transportation will be provided for the three main Wedding events (Welcome Party on 9/4, Rehearsal Dinner & After Party on 9/5, and the Wedding Ceremony & Reception on 9/6).
Renting a car is recommended for guests that are either 1) not staying at a Sun Valley Resort-affiliated property or 2) would like additional flexibility throughout the weekend.
Ketchum and Sun Valley are very walkable but ubers/taxi's are limited (the towns collectively are only ~3,500 residents!).
