We'll offer one pickup in Porto from the airport and somewhere TBD in the city (likely by the train station) to head to Monverde. If you're interested, please share your flight details here with us here when you've got it booked. We'll be aiming to depart by 11AM, so try to arrive by then if possible!

With the aim of enhancing the knowledge of green wines and the region, you can try 7 types of green wines, called "Vinhos Verdes da Quinta." The green wines from the Quinta can be tasted in the middle of the vineyard, if the weather permits; while sharing traditions: Quinta da Lixa Vinhão is served in a typical “Malga." You can taste single varietals, blends and a sparkling of Quinta da Lixa.

Relive the old memories of the old picnics: the wicker baskets with salads, chips, sandwiches and cool drinks. Surrender yourself to nature and traditions, enjoying the best scenery: our vineyards.

A practical and very interactive activity, which enhances knowledge of grape varieties and their contribution to the production of green wines. The result is the creation of your own batch and a souvenir of the wine with your own signature. The program begins with an overview of the national wine industry and the Vinho Verde Region, a succinct explanation of how to produce white wines and their styles while sampling the 5 single varietal wines. After the tasting of the lot, you begin to bottle your wine. A traditional corker allows the placement of the cork stopper "Monverde", followed by the creative part: the production of the label. This includes brand creation, drawing and painting and ends with the choice of the color of the capsule that best stays in the garment and the capper closes the production of the lot.

Enjoy all the delights of Wine Experience spa with either a morning or afternoon Half Day Package. Relax the senses in an oasis of well-being and revitalize with the ancestral wisdom of vinotherapy. Join us for a beautiful dinner in the vineyards at Monverde to kick off the festivities.

We'll head up to the patio for some cocktails to watch sunset and hang. Feel free to bring and share some of your favorite (or least favorite) memories with us. Expect a Taylor ghost story or two.

Saturday AM is yours to decide. There are a ton of activities nearby for you to partake in or you can feel free to blissfully do nothing. Taylor & Liz will be doing a rafting excursion on the nearby Tamega River. More info is below on this and other excursions. If you wanna join us, please RSVP to the left and we'll send details!

Rafting is a team sport where the aim is to steer a boat in tumultuous waters. It is practiced in a dinghy boat and led by an experienced guide along chutes full of adrenaline, with the backdrop of the idyllic banks of the River Tâmega. This kind of sport allows knowing locations that would otherwise be completely inaccessible. The birds chirping, the vegetation and the impressive sound of water makes this a perfect activity for those who like the combination between adrenaline and nature. The Canyoning Experience allows you to reach the most beautiful and hidden landscapes of the Alvão Natural Park, which would otherwise be inaccessible. This modality combines rappelling, tobogganing and jumps to the water, allowing a contact with nature in pure state.

This wonderful route allows you to enjoy the most amazing wild beaches that comprise the seven wonders of Portugal. Fisgas de Ermelo is a set of magnificently frightening waterfalls, creating authentic natural pools, where the work of erosion and the river carved shale rocks. We also take you to discover the river Poio, a sacred place, to which only you are allowed to access.

Amarante is a dreamy town just 15 minutes south. The postcard image in Amarante is the São Gonçalo bridge on the Tâmega beside the Renaissance monastery of the same name.

Amarante is a town that has given Portugal many important artists and writers, notably in the early 20th century, and their work is presented at the superb municipal museum. In the neighbourhood are Romanesque churches, picturesque mountain villages and cycling and hiking trails to dive into the natural richness of the Tâmega Valley.

The hotel can help arrange a taxi into town if you do not have a car.

We're looking into renting out a private river boat to take us along the Douro for sunset and to potentially hit a winery or two. 

This will be optional and will have a nominal fee. Details to come.
