We met on Friday, April 7th at Simmzy's in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, CA. The next day we went to the pool & went bowling with my (Laura's) good friend & roomie at the time, Cassie. Justin was so good at bowling that by the end of the night he was spinning around in a circle & tossing them down the lane (sometimes even left handed!) & still getting a strike! We have video footage to prove it. After a fun weekend of laughing & getting to know each other, we were inseparable.
Justin & Laura venture to Catalina Island for the weekend for their first weekend trip together.
We brought Cooper, rode around the island in a golf cart & went to the beach. Little did we know that 4 years later, to the day, we would be engaged on a different beach!

Christmas Day spent riding camels in the Sahara Desert of Morocco! This was the beginning of our love of travel & adventure together.
Justin surprises Laura with a trip to Hawaii for her birthday! We drove the beautiful "Road To Hana", biked down a volcano, jumped off lava rocks into the ocean & ate our weight in banana bread & pina coladas.

The end of an era - we pack up our things in LA & move to Jacksonville! We stopped in Texas along the way to spend Thanksgiving with Justin's family.
The proposal!! I thought we were going to Tulum to scout places to host my retreats & was just an excuse for a vacay. Little did I know that Justin had a proposal planned! Originally he planned to propose on the last night, in Cancun, with rose petals on the beach but he quickly realized on the first night that he was just too nervous & couldn't hold out that long. Walking along our private beach, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I cried with excitement & joy!
I said YES !!!
