Getting There
Shelter Island is wedged between the north and south forks of Long Island, approximately 2.5 to 3 hours from Manhattan by car. Traffic can be unpredictable, so we recommend allowing extra time.
If you would like help facilitating your outbound transportation on Friday, please email KWandLAB@gmail.com. A shuttle bus will be offered on Sunday for guests returning to Manhattan. Please RSVP by September 9.
Please note: There are no Ubers on the island, and very few taxis. Transportation to the wedding will be provided from The Chequit Hotel, The Shelter Island House and the West Neck Guest House. Please refer to Shuttle Schedule.
We have also hired a driver to provide transportation on the island for our wedding guests throughout the weekend. Please call or text him if you are in need of a ride to or from any of our events or the ferries: Eric Koszalka: 631.379.6020.
In order to get onto the island, you will need to take a ferry from either Greenport (10 minutes via the North Fork) or North Haven (5 minutes via the South Fork). See below for ferry times and details. Both ferries accommodate cars as well as pedestrian passengers. Please note that the ferries only accept cash.
North Ferry Company (Greenport)
South Ferry Company (North Haven)
