Travel Suggestions
Traveling around Long Island is challenging using public transportation and we would highly recommend either renting a car or using a ride-share service.
For our guests planning to fly into the New York area, Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) is closest to both Hyatt Regency and Water's Edge, and has car rental services on site. The other major airports in the area, John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), are about 40 miles away.
Alternatively, you can use the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) commuter train to travel close to the hotel (likely Central Islip or Ronkonkama). From those stations, you can take an Uber to the Hyatt. Google Maps can help you choose the specific train to take.
A word of caution: opting to take an Uber from the airport directly to the hotel is expensive, with prices surging north of $150 due to the long weekend.
Shuttle bus service will be provided to guests from Hyatt Regency Long Island to Water's Edge on the day of the wedding ceremony and reception.
