Jyothi is my sister (duh) and although we spend most of our time arguing with each other, we've also gotten closer as we've gotten older! We both drive each other crazy, but we also fight battles together and do our best to be there for each other. She's also always there to tell me the truth, regardless of if I want to hear it.
Akshitha has been one of my best friends since high school. We lived together for 3 years in college and have managed to not get sick of each other yet! She's been there for me through some rough nights and let me ransack her closet as much as I wanted (I'm pretty sure I still have some of her clothes). She has always been an amazing friend and is the best person to make bad decisions with.
Ashitha was one of the first people I met in college and she's stuck with me through it all since then! We lived together for 3 years and have always bonded over our curly, frizz-prone hair (which we'll both be desperately trying to tame on wedding day) and our passive personalities. She's one of the most grounded people I know and the best person to talk through anything with.
Brittany is Brandon's sister and my soon-to-be sister-in-law! She's always been amazing and supportive through our entire relationship and we're both so grateful for that! I'm so excited for us to have more time to spend together in the upcoming years and continue to grow closer!
Esther walked up to the table I was sitting at by myself in the cafeteria on my first day at a brand new high school and asked if she could sit down...and we've been friends ever since! We spent almost every day in high school hanging out or doing homework together and now get in a yearly meal when we're both in the same city. I always look forward to our periodic catch-ups that usually come with discussing stupid things people post on Facebook.
Kacie and I have known each other all through PA School but really got closer during our clinical year. She is one of the kindest people I know and has helped me stay positive through the rough patches of school. Our Friday date-nights have helped make PA School so much more enjoyable and are always something I look forward to!
Sara and I met at the very beginning of PA School and she's been an amazing friend through all the chaos and pain of school. She's always been so supportive, has been a great study-buddy, and has kept me sane. I got to help introduce Sara to Indian food and I absolutely love having an Indian-food buddy!
Chris and I have been best friends going back to the 2nd grade and he’s been like a brother to me ever since. There’s been plenty of getting into trouble as kids, far more sarcasm than any friendship should ever need, and learning how to adult together. That doesn’t even scratch the surface of it all.
If there was ever a way to take my inner child and turn it into a living person, we get Richard. Him and I met working together in undergrad and have truly fulfilled living like a “big kid”. From the late-night Xbox marathons to finding every escape room in the state of Texas, you can always count on him to be down for anything.
Christian and I met back in the golden days of YMCA youth soccer. He was nothing more than some goofy LOUD forward that was slightly faster than me, which somehow led to us living our summers in Galveston and staying friends all these years later.
David and I met in undergrad and have shared many nights of grand theft auto, basketball, and talking about the Weeknd’s new album releases. He always manages to come up with science puns that are just the right amount of funny and cringeworthy. He’s someone that you can bet to be there if help is needed.
Jerry and I met in undergrad competing in pool games, and it was shortly after that we became roommates. We spent much of our time overdosing on coffee, buying out the local grocery store, and arguing about science to somehow always end up back where we started.
Prithvi and I met through an intermediary, better known as the bride. He helped make my first experience in India very welcoming. Before we formally met, I knew him only as “the cousin at A&M” that was always part of a funny story.
Scott and I met through an intermediary, or Kiran’s sister Jyothi (see maid of honor bio for more details). He came to Amarillo to help me make all of this happen when I was proposing to Kiran and he compliments my sarcasm quite well with his own.
