Living in California, close to the ocean, has always been a dream of ours. Jerome left the Iowa cornfields, while Kenzie left the Arizona desert in the dust; our love story began 4 years ago with a series of unfortunate events...
To ring in 2018, Kenzie took a leap of faith and flew with a friend to California to meet Jerome for a blind double date. Kenzie's initial butterflies were short lived as she became ill mid-date and Jerome, thinking he nailed it, was quite surprised to see their night end short.
We didn't give up easily, as date number two entailed the car breaking down en route to dinner. This romantic evening pivots into the front seat of Jerome's car. As he is in a panic, Kenzie, without a worry in the world, begins to FaceTime her family. The date continues with a failed attempt by Jerome to fix the car, a couple calls to AAA and a shared shotgun ride in the tow truck to the nearest restaurant, one would hope the craziness ends here. Eager to have a fun date night over drinks and laugh off our adventure, Kenzie realized she misplaced her ID...
Further shenanigans at the Waste Management Open in Scottsdale, surprise visits that didn't go as planned, rain on our Disney date and Jerome waking the Weller household at 5AM screaming for Tottenham; we were falling for each other with every spontaneous surprise after the next. Looking back at these moments, we laugh, reminisce, and are so grateful for the memories that ended up bringing us closer together!
Our wedding venue is really special to us because of our shared dream to live by the ocean and in following our dreams, we were brought together by the grace of God. We are so excited for you to be a part of our wedding day and we look forward to a celebration to last a lifetime!
