Please Log inIn the Islamic faith, marriage is commemorated by the Nikkah. A ceremony based in love, surrounded by bright colors and celebratory music, the Nikkah holds an important place of honor for many families. Traditionally a formal ceremony, Hussein and Kaley have personalized their Nikkah to be more of a cultural celebration.
Nikkah Ceremony
6 - 7pm @ the Ocean Breeze Deck
Bride’s Entrance. Kaley will be escorted to the altar surrounded by the most meaningful women in her life, as guests celebrate her arrival.
Groom’s Entrance. Unlike American weddings, Hussein will make his entrance after Kaley has arrived at the altar. Hussein will be escorted by his father, Amur, and brothers: Ibrahim, Mohammed, and Dullah. Then Rahma, Hussein’s mom, will present her son to his bride at the altar.
Blessing. Once Hussein and Kaley are seated, family and friends are invited to congratulate and bless the couple. And in true Riyami fashion, the rest of the evening will be filled with music, dancing, and food.
