Where to stay
The killer combination of holding a wedding deep in the countryside, in the immediate run up to Christmas is likely to make finding somewhere to stay at the last minute a real challenge. That's why we've been outrageously eager and sent out the invitations a whopping 10 months before the day. We really encourage you to have a look and book as early as possible.
Accommodation in the village itself is limited (not least because the wedding party has booked up both pubs), but there are plenty of places in the surrounding villages, or further afield towards Bristol or the M5. If you have any problems or need any more tips, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Once you've booked and if you are interested in coordinating with other guests on transport, please do let us know.
There are some holiday cottages in Wedmore itself although these tend to be restricted to 2-3 people, and a wide range in the surrounding area, including in Axbridge and Cheddar (each a 10-15 minute drive).
This webpage - Wedmore Accommodation - is a good place to start, as is Airbnb.
Cheddar Woods Resort and Spa and Tor Farm also offer a selection of holiday lodges sleeping 2-8, 10 minute drive.
Here are a few options all approximately 10 minutes drive away, but there are plenty more to be found in nearby Wells, Glastonbury, or along the M5 (each a 20 minute drive):
The Sheppey Inn - Godney
Compton House Hotel - Axbridge
Old Manor House - Axbridge
The Oak House Hotel and Restaurant - Axbridge
Lillypool Farm, Shipham
Bath Arms Hotel - Cheddar
