Travel Information
We have all heard the terrible tales about people going to vacation at altitude and two drinks do them in. Or that they went for a hike and got altitude sickness (don't laugh, it is a real thing) and then spent the latter half of their day feeling sick.
The best advice I could give you is to drink more water than you think you need. Drink twice as much as you think you need. Actually, drink three times as much. There is nothing worse than a dehydrated hangover at altitude. So, please do your self favor and drink water.
One more time for the people in the back... DRINK A LOT OF WATER!
Epic Mountain Express is a great and affordable way to get to Avon from either Denver International Airport or Eagle, without renting a car. Everything is walk-able once you get to Avon, and there are frequent buses and Ubers (longer wait time) to get around town and into Beaver Creek if needed.
** If you do rent a car and stay at the Westin please not there is a daily charge for parking at the venue. From DIA with no traffic, it will be about 2 hours.

There is a ton to do both in the mountains and in Denver itself.
Our wedding will be in the mountains right next door to one of the vacation destinations of Colorado, Vail. If you have an extra day or two to stay I recommend staying in Vail or Beaver Creek and taking part in some of the amazing hiking, mountain biking, or dining that is to be had in the area.
