Bobby Jaworski

Bobby grew up in Darien, IL with his two brothers, Danny & Paul, and his parents, Bob & Lianne. Bobby loved sports and played soccer throughout his childhood and high school. Bobby’s parents preferred he went to a school in Illinois, but once Bobby visited Indiana University his mind was set on attending IU. It’s a good thing they both ended up at IU or else we wouldn’t be here today.

Jessica Walsh

Jessica grew up in Walnut Creek, California with her three brothers, Matt, Charlie, and Sam and her parents Jeff & Cindy. Jessica was a tomboy and played almost every sport growing up. She applied to Indiana University on a whim after her dad told her that they might be relocating to Chicago. After visiting the campus, Jessica knew she wanted to go to IU. Little did she know she would meet her future husband there.

Our 1st Date Party

Jessica and Bobby met at Sigma Pi (Bobby's fraternity) at Indiana University. They met when Jessica was a sophomore and Bobby was a junior. Bobby told his friends he was interested in Jessica, and although Jessica was stubborn at first, Bobby’s persistence ultimately paid off. In December of 2015 they finally went to their first date party together & the rest is history. Bobby graduated from IU in 2016 and Jessica graduated in 2017.

Bobby's last day of chemo!

Bobby was diagnosed with testicular cancer in July 2019. Jessica never left Bobby’s side and went to every doctor’s appointment and chemo session with him.  Bobby was unbelievably brave and never complained, as he leaned on God for support. After months of chemo and multiple surgeries, Bobby has been cancer free for over 2 years now. It was clear that Jess and Bobby's relationship grew stronger through all of this and they both knew they were ready to take the next step. After beating cancer, Jessica & Bobby moved in together in downtown Chicago. They love living in the city and spending time with their friends.
