FAQ
Travel and Booking Questions
Q. When and how should I book?
A. With the help of our travel agent, Dana, we will be negotiating a group room block and flights. You must book through Dana. Please contact her at Dana@drtripstravel.com to book!
Q. When are payments due?
A. The initial deposit is due January 1st to be locked into the current rates that we have blocked. Final/total payments are due in March.
Q. Do I need a passport?
A. Yes! You will need a passport and should start that process as soon as you can. It takes 18 weeks for the passport to be mailed to you! Please remember to check your passport to ensure it does not expire within 6 months or you cannot travel!
Q. How will I get from the airport to the resort?
A. A private group shuttle will be included when you book with Dana.
Q. When should we arrive and depart?
A. You can arrive and depart any day you want. Please just ensure you are there for the wedding on Thursday! Otherwise, make this your own vacation! The bride and groom will be arriving on the Monday before the wedding. If you are flying out of Cleveland, flights only leave on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays (with the airline we have blocked).
Q. Can I bring additional guests?
A. Yes. While the wedding day will be about us, the rest of your vacation should be about you having a good time! Your additional guests may book through the travel agent, however, we hope you understand that they will not be able to attend the ceremony and reception.
Q. What if I don't want to use the group travel agent?
A. Then you cannot be included in the group reservation and cannot attend the wedding, sorry! If you find a cheaper price, please let Dana know and we can renegotiate the room block!
Q. Is Mexico safe?
A. You should always be aware of your surroundings and be cautious when traveling. Please do your research and make this determination yourself. If you do not plan on joining a cartel, you should be okay!
