Interstate to Bawley point

How to get there

One of the easiest ways to travel to Bawley point will by flying into Sydney or Canberra airport.

From there it’s suggested to hire a car (approx $55 - $110 per day) and drive the scenic coastal route for the final 3 hours and 30 minutes from Sydney or 2 hours 30 minutes from Canberra.

Make sure to head down the highway and try your luck on “Government Bend” when you go down the Clyde mountain for a bit of a thrill.

There is also a bus and train service operating from Sydney Central station at 9am for approximately $51 with lunch time layover. Total journey time is approximately 6 hours.

Similar options and drive times are also available when flying into Wollongong Airport so be sure to check all flight options for best prices.

How to get there

The simplest way to get to Bawley Point from

Canberra is by car with the expected journey taking approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Car Hire from the City Centre or Fyshwick starts at about $69 per day.

There are bus services from the Jolimont centre once daily that will get you as close as Mollymook with one changeover.

Brisbane to Bawley Point drive

There will be a small convoy coming from Brisbane driving earlier in the week and all are welcome to join!

The journey is definitely not the most time efficient but can be completed in a day. If you have the luxury of time it can be quite scenic; stopping past Coffs Harbour, Nambucca heads and Port Macquarie.
