Rental car services and shuttles to Vail Village are available at both airports. You may not need a rental car once in Vail, especially if you are staying in Vail Village or Lionshead. There is a free transit system that will take you between the villages, and it is about a 15 minute walk between Vail Village and Lionshead. If you plan to enjoy other activities throughout the Vail Valley/Beaver Creek, you may prefer a rental car.

We have set up a group rate with Epic Mountain Express shuttle service. You will receive 20% off of the best available rate at the time of booking.

The Sonnenalp has transferred all bookings made for the weekend of June 6, 2020 to the weekend of July 24, 2021. Please confirm that your travel arrangements have been transferred to the new date and are accurate. If you need to cancel, there will be no cancellation fees until June 19, 2021.

The Sonnenalp Hotel is where our wedding reception will take place!! It is located in Vail Village across the street from the Vail Chapel where our wedding ceremony will be. We have secured a discounted rate at the Sonnenalp Hotel. In order to receive this rate, you must email or call the number below! It will not apply if you book online and is based on space available, so we recommend booking early. Please mention the Kennedy-Rand wedding.

We have secured a discounted rate at the Lodge at Vail. It is located in Vail Village - about a 5 minute walk from the Vail Chapel and Sonnenalp Hotel. The Lodge at Vail is pet friendly! This rate is based on space available, so we recommend booking early!

The Ritz Carlton is located in Vail Village, and the Arrabelle is located in Lionshead.

Vail offers many trails and paths for both road and mountain biking. For mountain biking there are miles of scenic trails accessible via Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead Village and Gondola One in Vail Village. For a summer trail map, click the link below! For road biking, an easy to moderate ride is the paved recreation path that runs along the Gore Creek in Vail and stretches west through the Vail Valley. For a more challenging ride, take the Vail Pass ride from East Vail to the top of Vail Pass. You can rent bikes, helmets, and other gear from the Vail Sports locations in either Vail Village or Lionshead Village.
