We can both agree that Michael's older sister, Beatrice is the reason for our season! But it seems we have differing recollections of our first interactions.

Beatrice and I worked together for nearly two years as nurses; we always shared laughs and conversations during those times. During one of our shifts together, Beatrice and I were having one of our usual chats and she speaks about a family wedding that she recently attended and showed me photos from the event. She then says that she is one of 8 siblings and that she has 4 brothers. I jokingly ask “Oh, 4 brothers … Do you have one for me"?
Initially, she says, “I don’t think so”. A few moments later she shows me the wedding photos and says “Pick one, which brother"? After pointing at Michael, Beatrice went to work for us. She sent Michael pictures of me, exchanged our phone numbers, and made sure we were in contact. Michael did reach out, quite a few times at that, but I did not respond as I truly did not think much of it. His persistence and grace finally led to our first date a few weeks after his sister initiated our connection.
All I can say is that I chose Michael then, and I still do now.
Abi has a cute story, and it's true that I had to call 3 times before she responded, apparently Steve Harvey advised women to play hard to get (haha). Playing hard to get did not last long, once she picked up the phone, she couldn't help herself anymore; we were talking every day and she was staying up past her bedtime just to talk.
The same day I began to get to know Abi, my Mother got sick. Abi called later that night and every night after, to pray for her until she got better. That's when I realized Abi truly had a Golden heart worth loving.

Our engagement was on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, 2020.
Both our families were present and it was truly a special day. Michael planned the entire event with the help of our families. Everyone was in on it except for Abiola.
