"He's a good guy, but I don't think whatever THIS is will turn into anything." Diann (my Chief Bridesbabe) gave me a sobering stare and then to my surprise exclaimed "DEWI! Why didn't you tell me about him sooner?! He sounds exactly like you. I don't think I can handle TWO of you, but I know this is a thing. I can feel it!" Cue the anxiety.
Dave and I met through mutual friends/classmates while we were both pursuing our MBAs at Baruch College. I remember he was always so animated and cheerful. He would literally jump in front of me out of nowhere (on the line to the elevator, on the street on our way to class, etc.) and say HI!!, always with the biggest smile. His energy was one of a kind and I LOVED it.
A series of outings with our friends Kat and Jeff a.k.a. Squad (Hi Guys!) brought us closer together. We knew something was brewing but we were "too cool" (or maybe too scared) to admit it. Until finally, we couldn't deny how much we wanted "us." True to his form, he was always clear about the experiences he wanted in life, his goals, and expectations. More importantly, the more we shared, the more I realized we viewed the world the same way. We were absolutely in sync.
Our study dates quickly turned into "Double D adventures." We went from exploring speakeasies around New York City to taking trips to the Eastern hemisphere and it has been an absolute ball. Through it all, he always held my hand tight making it clear he wanted me along for every ride. My answer was always YES! because when you know, you know.
I've never been so sure about anything in my life and I can't wait to kick off this journey with YOU by our side! Thank you for always showing us love. It means more than you will ever know. I can't wait to see you in NOLA! It's going to be a GREAT time!! <3

My first memory of Dewi was during my first year in Grad school for my MBA at Baruch College, where we shared a Marketing class. I remember her always being late to class and sitting in the back with her signature curly hair, jeans, and pair of Converses.
We formally met on the last day of class when a group of the students in the class joined up to check out a Baruch-sponsored graduate student party to celebrate the end of the semester. A small group of us (myself, Dewi, Kat, and Jeff, later known as "Squad") remained close and continued socializing for the remainder of our grad school years.
That first day, I immediately fell in love with her smile and curly hair. But once I started talking to her, I knew she was more than just a girl with a pretty smile and bouncy hair. Talking to her felt like I was talking to a female version of myself, and it seemed that we aligned on everything under the sun. The connection I felt with her was something I had never felt before, and I knew I had to keep her close. We started seeing each other on a weekly basis, and before you know it, the Double Ds were formed!
On May 28, 2019, I asked Dewi to be my partner in life's journey. And now we're asking you to help us make that dream come true in New Orleans!
