The Greek Island of Milos was the home of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful islands in the Aegean Sea. Get ready for stunning beaches, superb seafood and an island full of fascinating history. We visited Milos right after getting engaged and we knew instantly that this is where we wanted to tie the knot!
Getting to Milos
Milos does not have an international airport but there are eight flights daily from Athens (approximately 30 minutes via Sky Express or Olympic Air). We advise booking flights to Milos Island as soon as possible as seats are limited.
Ferries leave from Pireaus port in Athens and take approximately 3-4 hours. The ferries arrive in Milos in the port of Adamas where you can easily connect to various villages across the island.
Milos also has easy connections to other islands in the Cyclades such as Santorini and Mykonos.
Where to Stay
Milos has a plethora of places to stay that are suitable to all budgets. Although the majority of places are in Adamas, we encourage guests to stay in the village of Pollonia, which also has more upmarket boutique hotels. Other options include picturesque villages such as Plaka or Tripiti or hotels around Paleochori Beach.
Please note that we will only be providing transportation to the wedding from Pollonia village.
In addition to the recommendations below, Airbnb and booking.com also have good options for accommodation across the island.
White Pebble Suites (Pollonia)
We'll be staying either here or at Salt Suites.
Approximately 270 euros to 450 euros / night
Hotel Tania (Pollonia)
We've stayed here and highly recommend it.
Approximately 145 euros and up / night
Villa Marisol (Pollonia)
Perfect place for a large group. (7 guests · 4 bedrooms · 5 beds · 2 bathrooms)
Approximately 760 euros / night
Where to Eat
The food in Milos is spectacular and there are amazing places to eat all over the island.
Kivotos ton Gefseon (Pollonia)
Fabulous patisserie where you can find Milos' famous watermelon pies.
Verina Cocktail Bar
You can take your cocktails outside and catch a stunning sunset from the church. A good option if Utopia is full.
Car Rentals
We highly recommend that you rent a car during your stay in Milos to best explore the amazing beaches, tavernas and bars scattered across the island.
Please note that visitors with a driver's license issued outside the EU/UK require an international driver's permit to rent a car.
Our preferred car rental company on the island is Matha Rent A Car (http://www.milos-rentacar.com/). You can use the promo code AZMINADARREL to save 5% off your car rental.
We recommend you book a car rental in advance of your arrival. You can also check out https://milosrent.gr , https://www.carjet.com/index.htm or https://meliancars.caronline.gr for more options.

Paleochori Beach
A sandy beach with sunbeds, cafes, restaurants and a variety of watersports available. The beach is long and wide and there are hot spots from the thermal water.
