Flights

Flights are to Palma International Airport (PMI) in Mallorca.

We recommend flying into Madrid or Barcelona for the most connections to PMI but there are many connections to PMI from most European cities. For an inexpensive business class option, try Norweigan Air. Kayak is a good resource for flights. www.kayak.com

Transport

If you are staying in Mallorca for longer than two days, we recommend hiring a car. Cars are very inexpensive when booked in advance. Ubers do no exist in Mallorca. Taxis are available but they are expensive and slow to arrive.

We will arrange transport to and from the wedding venue to hotels in Palma, Pollensa and Alcudia. If you like your own flexibility, we suggest VIP Services Mallorca for a black Mercedes.

Where to Stay

Mallorca is about architecture, design, organic food, wine, rocky beaches, turquoise water, and the mountains. The best way to experience this is to book a villa or finca. This often requires a 7-night stay, so if timing allows, this is our first recommendation. A beautiful one in Deia is Casa Nama. For more luxury villas see below.

We prefer the country-side of Mallorca, like Deia, Valldemosa, Soller, and Pollença, over Palma but Palma is a fun European city with great restaurants and tapas bars. It also has some of the best hotels on the island. It is convenient for all of our activities.

If you are only staying for two nights we suggest Palma, Pollença or Alcúdia but book early as the more refined hotels sell-out fast. The best hotels in Pollença are Son Brull and Can Auli (which just opened).

If you are arriving early or staying longer, we highly recommend Deia, Valldemossa or Soller (but not the port). If you are staying for four nights, consider staying in Deia, Soller or Valldemosa for two nights and the following two in Pollença or Palma.

In terms of wedding activities, we will be hosting a lunch near Deia on Thursday, while the boat trip and wedding are in Pollença. We don't suggest staying in Deia on the night of the wedding (or even on Friday night) as it is 70 minutes from the wedding location. All roads go back to Palma and you can not cut across the island from East to West.

Hotels in Palma

Cap Rocat, Cala Blava (€€€€)

Cap Rocat is one of our favorite hotels on the island and will likely be staying there before the wedding. It appears, however, that only the suites are available around the time of the wedding and they are very pricey. Call to talk about their other rooms.

It is located 20 minutes outside of Palma.

San Francesc Hotel Singular, Palma (€€€)

This is one if the best hotels on the island. A contemporary boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and a rooftop bar overlooking the church of San Francesc.

Can Bordoy, Palma (€€€)

We stayed here during our last visit to the island and loved it. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so charming and professional. The location is also ideal in the centre of the old town of Palma. We stayed in room 25 which overlooked the pretty garden.

Brondo Architect, Palma (€)

A modern and affordable hotel in the centre of Palma's old town. If you stay here be sure to eat at El Camino, one of our favourite restaurants on the island and on the same little street as the hotel.

Hotels in Pollensa & Alcudia

Son Brull, Pollença (€€€)

Son Brull is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards, and lemon and orange trees. Located at the foot of the Puig de Maria which overlooks the sea and the bay of Pollensa. The hotel is wellness-focused and was previously a monastery. An ideal place to decompress before the wedding.

This hotel is closest to the wedding venue but 40 minutes from Palma. We recommend hiring a car.

Hotel Can Auli, Pollensa (€€)

This is a new boutique hotel located in the heart of Pollensa town, aprox 15 minutes from our wedding venue.

Hotel Illa D'Or, Pollensa (€€)

This hotel is the closest to our wedding venue. It is rated as 4* but we view it as a 3*. The seaside location is beautiful but the hotel itself is dated. Perfect if you are just looking for a place to rest your head rather than enjoy a luxury resort.

Hotel Cala Sant Vicenç, Pollença (€€)

More of a traditional hotel with junior suites, pool, gym, good restaurants. When you want the comfort of a 5-star hotel but not the price.

La Moraleja Hotel, Pollença (€€)

A luxury mansion converted into a hotel with a spectacular art collection. 6 minutes to the water and close to Pollença. We haven't stayed here but it was recommended to us.

Can Mostatxins, Alcudia (€)

This hotel is contemporary and very well priced. Housed in two restored buildings dating from the 15th and 19th century in Alcudia Old Town it has been restored beautifully with modern fittings and decor.

Forum Boutique Hotel, Alcúdia (€)

A stylish but inexpensive options close to the wedding venue. Alcúdia is a pretty beachside town with medieval houses with a noble history.

Hotels in Deia & Valldemossa

Sa Pedrissa, Deia (€€)

This hotel offer the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean, perched on the cliffside of the Tramuntana Mountain range and just on the outskirts of one of our favourite villas, Deia.

Hotel Valldemossa, Valldemossa (€€€)

A boutique hotel with the right amount of charm and luxury. Walking distance into the village of Valldemossa and its cobblestoned streets and cafes. This village is straight out of a Mediterranean postcard.

Belmond La Residencia, Deia (€€€€)

We feel that the Belmond Hotel in Deià is overpriced but it is pretty.  It is one of the most popular hotels in the area so it would be amiss not to mention it as an option.
