Introduced through mutual friends, Shaun and Dana met Labor Day Weekend 2017 at the Jersey Shore. After talking the entire train ride back to NYC, they exchanged numbers and made plans to hang out the following weekend. Their first date involved playing pool at Fat Cat, where Dana proved to be a worthy opponent; followed by an impromptu dinner at Five Guys. After discovering their shared love of country music, Dana convinced Shaun to go to a Sam Hunt concert - where Shaun realized he was in love with Dana. Fast forward more than a year, Shaun surprised Dana with a romantic proposal on December 26, 2018, while on a ski trip in Burlington, VT.
