Our adventure

He's her bagel -- After all, they met on Coffee Meets Bagel, and he's the Jewish one.

While the ol' Internet brought them together, in real life they were already neighbors - They literally lived a block apart but had never met.  And if that wasn't enough of a coincidence, they happened to have planned similar road trips that upcoming Xmas-New Years from Vegas to Joshua Tree, just in reverse directions.

A few months into the relationship, they committed to attempt a one-day hike of Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States at 14,505 ft.  Knowing it was no small feat, they also committed to a training schedule consisting of long hikes and drives.  These served as extended dates where they really got to know each other (for better or worse).  After successfully making the roundtrip up & down Mt. Whitney, they knew they had achieved more than just a summit.

Over time, Cheryl & Jordan evolved as dining companions, travel buddies and adventure partners.  He fell in love with her bubbly demeanor, her sense of adventure and her patience.  She came to love his earnest curiosity, intellect and impeccable sense of direction.  Together, they hold the same values dear, share a love for nature, have the same taste in food and are equally terrible at puns.

When Jordan proposed almost four years into their relationship, he knew it had to be in San Francisco — a place they had both come to call home.  Long story short, the proposal involved white lies, kuih seri muka (a Malaysian dessert which Jordan painstakingly made from scratch) and a celebration amongst friends. They are stoked to embark on their greatest adventure yet, and are so excited for you to be a part of it!
